I've bit my tongue for 3 or 4 years, said time and time again its time for this lad to grow a pair and become the player we crave for, a leader, a talisman that he's been portrayed as by many, but what I failed to realise was that he hasn't actually got what it takes anyway, that's why he has tantrums/strops, dives in on tackles when not necessary (always a sign a player struggles with style over substance, especially a mature one) every match. A falsehood.

I've rarely disliked any player (forget their private life) in my beloved Garibaldi but please please GET RID OF THIS OBSOLETE, LUXURY, GOOD FOR NOTHING WASTE OF OXYGEN AT NFFC.

Couldn't agree more! f*** Lansbury for being our only consistently fit player over the last 4 seasons, for being selected by every manager, for being given the armband, for being given the responsibility to take set pieces, for accepting a longer contract.

f***ing despise the prick. What a waste of f***ing space. We need good lads like Hobbs, Fryatt and Reid who definitely arent stealing 25k a week to sit on their arse.

Players like Lansbury are whats ruining this club!!!!!!

"Consistently fit" ? Ward played more games last season than lansbury and Ward is constantly slated for being injured .

He wanted to go to Burnley and so Fawaz had to beg him to stay in the era of wages being 109% of turnover and when we paid lip service to FFP. (We were under embargo I presume you've forgotten)

If you try not to be so obtuse then his wage will be up there with the other charlatans stealing a wage from this club under the Fawaz contracts. Mancienne is on 25k a week according to the Greek journo who has been spot on all summer.

He's been a lot more accurate than the likes of tails or Nixon but some are starting to go over the top with him.

He's clearly got some very good sources, especially down his ends, but he's a little shakier around our way.

He's got a very high success rate, but he's not always 100% spot on.

Not sure if you're being Pro or Anti Lansbury with the above - but if we had 'cashed in' on Henri last season, we wouldn't have been able to spend it anyway.

HL is not my favourite player - but when he came back into the team after injury last season, he showed his value - especially under Williams as an attacking player.
On Saturday, our midfield was being overun by Wigan and needed Henri in there instead of (I assume tired/injured/still adusting) Kasami - but unfortunately we'd already been forced to use up subs.

It's a fact our wage bill is/was 109% of our turnover. It's also a fact Lansbury is an average midfielder who isn't an DM or an AMF, he doesn't create, he's crap at set pieces and a liability with regards to bookings and dominating the midfield.

Another fact is this team has been crap and has regressed in the last 4 seasons.

You call it hearsay I call it an estimation looking at the evidence.

So In conclusion - poor value for money.

Perception is Lansbury has a poor disciplinary record.

Fact no.1 - 6th highest in squad with 5 bookings and 1 red card. 1 card every 6 games, that's not bad for a midfielder.

Less than Vaughan, on par with Jamie award, Blackstock, Mendes, Oliveira

Fact no.2 - not an attacking midfielder? Yet 3rd highest goal scorer. Not fantastic goals per match ratio but better than any other midfielder we have.

Underperforming? Lansbury is singled out as if he's the reason we lose, yet we win/draw more matches when he plays.

Give the guy a break he never was or ever will be Paul Gascoigne but he is by far the best midfielder we've got.

Reference wages....Lansbury has provided a better ROI than the following players over past few season: Reid, Cohen, Blackstock, Hobbs, Fryatt, Wilson, Vaughan, Assombalonga, Fox, Paterson.

At least he's physically capable of playing more than 2/3's of the season.

The season before last his disciplinary record was almost comical, if my memory serves me right. He had at least one suspension for accumulated yellow cards
