I stopped reading the Daily Mail back in the late 80's after continued slagging by a mister Jeff Powell, god he hated us. We won 2 - 0 at Arsenal playing some great stuff only for him to describe us as "exiting as cold fish and chips". The bloke was a total tool and it looks like the next generation are no better.
If the players are good enough who gives a s*** where they are from? As mentioned before even the local journalists cant get a pinch of info from the owners so how can some fact twat from the big smoke? These stories never make the main page of papers like the Daily mail on their websites so that indicates to me they make them up in the hope one comes true so over time they get the chance to write stories about the bigger clubs. If you make up enough rubbish law of averages indicates somewhere along the line you'll get one right so you look in the know. These are the same papers that knew nothing about the takeover remember.

Everybody stops worrying about this 'iconic' business. It's the sort of scrutiny on every single little detail that is just pathetic and a little overly fanatical.
We are almost all in agreement that we've got a manager we like, who cares about anything else? I can see it now, O'Driscoll starts struggling and people pipe up saying 'you told us we would get someone iconic' blah blah blah.
The idea that 10 years later people are still bleating about this like the 'serious about promotion' thing makes me utterly miserable.

If he really had a contract I imagine something would have come up before now, not least with the whole appointing a major saga.
Also can a legally binding contract be signed before they owned the club? I have no idea but could see it being an issue.
Paladini is a blood sucking attention seeking leech and is probably trying to make some quick money with this or just trying to get in the papers.
To top all of this off I doubt there is much in it as The People is little more than emergency toilet roll in my eyes.

Yes it is. I'm a fan, I enjoy watching my favourite team.
Some people concern themselves with every minute detail that comes out of the club, from promotional material to the language used. They spend every waking hour on twitter waiting for some casual comment from the CEO, then dissect it to the point of tedium.
I find it a bit bizarre really. I'm more bothered about who we actually sign, are we winning, is it good football.
