The Demise of Liverpool FC.

I suppose with all these cups getting different sponsors and also having different reasons for existing, that the trophies actually remain the same, but somehow I seem to think that they do change the trophy from time to time.

Of course, the FA cup is not the original, but we all know the reason why.
Am I right in saying the league cup has always stayed the same too (three handles)?

Hoping there will be four replicas in the new WFCG museum if it ever gets built.

Who remembers the Full Members Cup?

The 80s (especially the mid to late 80s) was the time I fell in love with NFFC!

Although this gave us 2 trips to Wembley-I always felt it was a minor competition that failed to get the
pulse racing.
No wonder it didn’t survive long.

Yeah I couldn't give a toss about it either
They had to invent something while the Scousers had managed to get us all banned from Europe, the bastards.

I absolutely despise this lot, scousers in general to be fair.

Vile, vile people who just cry and blame everyone else until the wider public agrees them probably just to shut them up.

They probably put that banner up about 5 hours after the game so they didn’t get their shit kicked in by some mancs.

I'm sure they'll find a way to claim that whatever response they receive means it's really them who are the victims.
The banner was clearly put up by a group of sizeable men with distinctive accents, at least one of whom was wearing an Arctic Monkeys T-Shirt.

It probably doesn't matter, but the photo is about 10 years old.
When it comes to sleights about Munich and Hillsborough, in truth, the fans of neither club come out of it well.

My view had always been to be better and not get sucked in to the petty tit-for-tat nastiness.

Then, at the end of the day, the last fans still aggrandising death, despair and deprivation will be shown for what they are.

But it takes both maturity and courage to turn the other cheek.

They’re the Russians of the footballing world.
Absolutely everything to hate about that club. They’ll spin it as “a mindless few, nothing to do with the supporters” but there the flag stays for the entire football world to know what Liverpool is, will always be. *****

Fwiw I hope our fans rise above it all and stick to backing our boys.

I'll never like Liverpool and I don't like how they've turned the Hillsborough tragedy into something about their club rather than those that lost their lives...

... But ultimately almost 100 people, mostly kids, died in one of the cruellest possible ways to go. Theres nothing to gain from opening those wounds again for any perceived bragging rights.
