Another disappointing night in Europe for the scouse tefal club. I've since sparked a thoroughly enjoyable debate with a Liverpool supporting mate. My argument is; as good as Klopp has been, Liverpool have under-achieved. He's been a true visionary and has improved the club no end. But ultimately trophies matter. In Klopp's tenure (which will be remembered as one of the greatest in the club's history) they've won two major trophies in 8 years. Aside all the soft evidence that one can (rightly) argue in Klopp's defence, him and his team are more akin to Keegan's Newcastle than Wenger, Mourihno, Pep or Ferguson's great sides. Winning the league this season will go some way to diluting my opinion.

Not that often, they've finished 3rd or below more often than 2nd.
So yes, Klopp is overrated by the media and/or Liverpool have underachieved.

Correct. He's over-rated (probably because they became so used to not challenging so finally winning something was great news) and I'm not sure he'll be quite as difficult to follow as those listed above; I think if they get the next appointment right they'll kick on.
Edit: and fair play to him in that he did win something, but if he was a great manager he'd have built on that. He hasn't imho.

It will really hurt them especially as most of them think Klopp is a god.
Lets get this straight Liverpool are one the worlds biggest clubs, support wise and financially, they should be either in a cup final or up for winning the league every season minimum - That's how big they are.
Klopp has not achieved as much as he should have during his time.
He's done really well but not as good as he should have.
It wont matter that they won it because it was so long ago and they could have won four.
It will really hurt them especially as most of them think Klopp is a god.
