The demise of Leicester City

On the pitch we were not too bad against them at all yesterday. The effort and intensity even had we lost was a far cry from the last 3 Home games in particular.

Vardy missed some big chances too albeit one was a gift which was redeemed by O'Leary but we hit side netting at 0-0, could have had one if not two penalties first half. Hermansen made a big double save in the first 15.

In some ways it was a deserved win, other ways could've been a high scoring draw but it wasn't just a case of get one and scramble to survive. We attacked when we could, showed positive intent- 16 shots is an indication of that.

Best opposing side I've seen at this level this year, is Leeds probably. They gave us a proper chasing on a Friday night game in early February. 1-0 but could easily have been 4 or 5.

Pleased Bristol City won. My mate Terry Bush (same school team) played for them and I enjoyed my visit whilst doing the 92.
Am glad you enjoyed it. I kinda miss the pre re developed AG kn skme ways but I guess it had to be done as well.

Dunno how many times you have e been but until 2014 maybe from early 2000s there was that stand with no backs to the seats and very old yet excellent acoustics. Shared between home and away fans, with segregation.

Known as EastEnd albeit technical name was the Wedlock. Of course for some unaccountable reason we gave it our spiritual Home stand wise with as I arguably the best acoustics at that time to Away fans post all-seater. Crazy. Split in later years but...

Obstruction is not called very often in the game these days. I don't know why refs don't know the Laws of the Game.

If the refs association need a demonstration of the Law, use the first Norwich goal at Leicester. Clear as day, yet none of the officials bothers.

Feck me, just seen that the Bin Dippers have lost £215m over the past 3 seasons Inc 89.7m losses last year
I think at the usual Leicester exchange rate of 4p to the £ that is a debt of approximately £8.5 million, and therefore well within the rules.

They bought some really expensive shit, they also paid Rodgers a shit ton to leave.

Their wage bill is incredible, still more than a fair few prem sides, Vardys on 140k basic.

That is outstanding negotiation from his agent, shame most of it gets pissed up the wall by his wife's legal bills.

Jesus H. Christ on horseback.

Parachute money or not, in the Championship, that is insane.

Pretty sure no one had/has relegation clauses either. Wage bill has got to be 50+million.

The Athletic has an interesting article on the losses.
