I've often been dubious as to how and why we've ended up with some of the players we've had over the years, especially loanees. Dumitru is the current example. We've consistently shifted our average players to sign more average players over the years, it's never made sense to me.

What exactly did Allardyce do wrong, apart from saying he could travel to wherever and do a talk for a highly inflated fee?

When asked certain questions he clearly said he would need to run it by his FA employers and did mention that getting around third party ownership was do-able by actually buying the player wholly.

While I thought that he was the wrong choice for England manager I think he has been totally set up by the Torygraph and could have been well seduced by alcohol at the time of the questions.

His real crime was taking the piss out of Woy and Neville, two individuals who merit everything that comes their way.

Our own Daniel Taylor gives his thoughts on the matter.

The real buffoon of the matter isn't Allardyce, but the pure as the driven snow administrators invested in running the beautiful game. Head of the FA is the ex United Biscuits Chairman!. I wonder how much he really knows about football?

Just be glad he's gone.

Anyone who comes out and says "I can't tell Rooney where to play" when it's his job to tell Rooney where to play shouldn't be in charge of the national team

Agreed, but the problem isn't Allardyce, it's the bellends above making one shit decision after another.

Not surprised about Jimmy Floyd. He came for an meeting at my previous employers looking for some borderline 'tax planning'.

That's why a manager who can get average players playing above their level, and push us into the realms of top 6 is.....sorry should......be valued by us.

Seen a list that names 4 current Premier League managers, a former PL assistant manager/caretaker, and 2 out of work managers.

I honestly PRAY that Davies is one of the one's out of work. After all these years of BS, spin and gossip some actual evidence that he's corrupt would be like finding an oasis in the desert.

While we are at it, Nigel Clough!

Like father, like son :nowink:

I hope that Nigel is whiter than white or the university ethics lecturer on the tv calling for a more ethical outlook in football is going to have egg on his face as he held 'Young Nigel Clough' up as an example of the good side of the game.

So do I, it was just a joke. Not sure the same could be said for Brian though.

Yes, but I wasn't going to say that, but folk get paid good enough wages now that they shouldn't want to do it. I was on no where near the money that washes around football and I wouldn't have sold say customer info to people, or taken money from a client to prioritise their issues over others. Its not done is it. (ok it is but it shouldn't be)

Looks like fat Sam will be back as England manager by the end of the weekend then.

Apart from him there isn't anyone left with the experience to do the job if we actually want an English manager.

Don't know how many, if any, of those are true. The next few days will tell I suppose.

Hmmm.

Whoever it is, it makes me hate the game more and more.

These are top flight managers earning six figure salaries and it still isn't enough!

Professional sport, not just football, has been ruined by the commercialism of the last 30 years or so. When you see the players cars parked at Forest, you start to realise how f**ked up the game is. That we have players who are worth £20k/week is unbelievable.

I certainly don't feel like I get much back for that.
