Jokes aside I just love watching football and as I've said in another thread the atmosphere at the City ground has been the best I've seen in years so would be a brilliant day out,tifos and all.

They definitely add something extra in bringing everyone together and building the atmosphere. Like somebody said earlier, sitting in the lower TE I haven‘t a clue whats on them until later in the day. It’s almost part of the ritual to see what you’ve been part of and none have disappointed so far.
Probably as good a place as any to put on record my thanks to the forza folks for organising - must take a lot of time and effort to organise and somebody with far more talent than me to come up with the ideas.

TBF, when the Tifo thing started happening in the UK, I was a bit sceptical. I thought the idea of constructing an atmosphere was a bit contrived.
But after a few good experiences at the WFCG, my mind was changed. It does really help build the fans into force which never really happened before.
I think it gives fans who are not part of 'the lads', for want of a better term, a route into participating in the chanting and so on.
That been really nourished last couple of season's by the Tifos imho.

I don't think it works for everyone but it's perfect for us imo. We have a ritual song at the beginning of games which grants a musical imagery for the game we want to play and the tifo adds to that by adding a visual stimulus.
So for us it enhances the experience rather than being the focal point of the pre kick off experience.
