Probably can train a bit more now, since we don't have to wrap him up in cotton wool as much with Wood back.
Him going to Nigeria is a bit of a pisstake though.

He started the season as a genuine top 3-5 striker in the league. Absolutely unplayable.

But unfortunately we just can't rely on him ever being fit.

We need to find a new starting striker this year. I think then it's a decision about who is back up as we can't really afford Wood, Taiwo and a new main man.

As I said the other week we have to replace him in the summer or at least aim to bring someone in that would be considered as the starting No9. He's far too injury prone to have any reliance on him.
Aye Notch, my thoughts exactly.

May just be the pessimist in me, but I worry that even when he does get fit again we may not ever see the explosiveness/speed/power to Taiwo’s game that we saw at the end of last season and start of this one.

Garry Birtles mentioned that he’s in pain 24/7, and something’s been really off for a while now. Fingers crossed for the lad, but injuries can ruin this type of player

Love the lad, and when he was in Germany he was pretty much ever present without the injury concerns he’s shown for Forest.
