Stuart Pearce spotted

Col

Has he singed yet?
Apparently Stuart Pearce has been spotted buying a sausage roll and a steak bake from Greggs on Lister Gate. #inside-pasty

It was Cropwell Road, out of Cropwell Bishop on the way to Langar. Big white house on the left hand side with a massive drive and a rather large garden.

He once lifted my sister up so she could post a letter when she was very young and couldn't reach the opening at the Cropwell Bishop post office.

Ah, I remember some kids at school cycled to his house from bingham to get autographs. Can you imagine doing that these days?

If half our current team turned up on my door step to offer autographs I'd probably shut the door.

I did exactly the same - cycled to Cropwell Butler after David Johnson had scored a hat trick against Millwall at the New Den (was it when there were no away fans allowed?) and offered to wash his car. I was wearing my 'Harewood' shirt so he wasn't best pleased.

Happy days.

The entire England team stopped at Breadsall Priory when I was a teenager, I took my buddies disabled brother down and nearly the whole team signed the fake England kit he was wearing.

I'm 6ft 3" and it was the first time I realised I was taller than nearly all of them. Blew my mind.

This is true - I grew up in Cropwell Bishop. Michael 'Porky' Whitt used to live in that house, but Psycho bought it a year or two later. Derek Randall also lived in the village at the time, but then moved out to Cropwell Butler.

That's all we need. Operation Yewtree sticking their nose in......

Psycho used to live in Kinoulton. Fat Wallet lived on Knicker Hill in Keyworth, my brother used to deliver his papers. I think Frank Clarke lived in Keyworth too. Peter Taylor had a really nice house in Widmerpool, when we used to go out on our bikes you would often see him gardening. Always waved if you did. Nice bloke.

Pearce spotted? I always saw him in stripes myself

Only for a couple of seasons...

The only time he looks good in stripes is when he's my avatar picture.
