Steve Cooper will always be the MAN!

It’s simple. Which side of the fence are you on?

I feel rancid for even saying this but:
Seeing on how the club is trying to get a conveyor belt of Brazilian players then having a Portuguese speaking coach makes sense.
I'm going to sit in a corner and maybe have a little cry.

I'm glad the Cooper criticism was worth it then.
You have to critisise in order to get better. Simply saying “cooper is doing a good job” will equally get you nowhere. If you can’t identify what needs improving you won’t get better. Recruitment, coaching and cooper all needed to be better.

Getting relegated is an interesting way to describe getting better I'll give you that.

Having a debate at work at the mo and wondered what the consensus would be on here. Would you rather:

- Be relegated back to Champ while keeping Cooper, or
- Stay up in the Prem without Cooper?

You're free to criticise anything.
If you want criticism to hold any validity in the real world you have to criticise something that has actually happened.
Why should I be any different to anyone else?

For the record - Please tell me where I have advocated criticism of a manager before he is in post? I don't believe I have, certainly not deliberately.

All I have said is that if you consider that it is acceptable to criticise a manager then you have to accept that it is also acceptable to criticise his replacement and that it is down to the individual to determine when that is allowable. If someone does decide it is acceptable before he is appointed (for the record I don't) then that is up to them.

You're about to be bombarded with but what about stay in the Prem with Cooper ...

A manager will never be bigger than the club, but Steve Cooper comes pretty close. The best thing to happen to Nottingham Forest in my lifetime and I'm gutted to think of this club without him going forward.

Football is a business, I get that, and Marinakis is entitled to make whatever decisions he deems appropriate to protect his investment, but this public dragging through the coals over the last few weeks has been hideous, especially towards a manager that holds infinite goodwill with the attending fanbase.

Super Cooper will always be the man.

With perfect hindsight and only these two scenarios: Staying up.

Anyone saying otherwise needs to give their head a wobble.

Obviously stay in the Prem without Cooper

Doesn't mean you can't be sad that he's leaving us though

The new manager does have a very Christmassy name, but still.
I won’t be clapping as loudly on Saturday unless they first parade cooper round the pitch for a much deserved ovation.

Has he singed yet?
Been a mod here during a few managerial changes and bumpy patches over the past 20 years, so can imagine that the ltlf mod bods will have their work cut out now! Best advice is to chill out, have a drink and think of Christmas. Santo, sorry, Santa will be here soon!
