He seemed to hit on a formula late last season,I hope he can stick to this or slightly improve. The tactics and at the beginning of the season was in my view a tad naïve.

He spoke very well just now, as always. My main takeaways are:

- We have a tough start to the season, but that's the PL
- He's aiming to better last season's position, but staying up is the main goal
- There's lots of work going on at the stadium
- We need to make more signings, and can discuss the main goals for the season once the window is over

Agree, spoke very well as usual but didn't get into specifics, nor was he asked about injuries.

On a side note, how on earth do people listen to TalkSport on a daily basis? Straight after his interview, rather than talking about Forest they get onto debating whether he should be England manager, and one of the pundits saying no because he's Welsh and he thinks England managers should be English only.

I think I lost brain cells listening to it for 2-3 mins either side of the Cooper interview.

I just can't wait to hear Coops comments on that game.

Re-reading his interview on the PSV game, it seemed more like excuses than valid reasons for the display and he could say exactly the same things about this performance. which sort of shows we're making no progress towards team building.

6th longest serving manager in the EPL and something like 25th in the 92.

Long may his reign continue 🤴

One thing Cooper has proved is that he is a fighter and will change things - hopefully we can get a few more players in to make this season a bit less stressful
It's what sets him apart from most managers in the modern game, they have become so stubborn. I remember Warburton being the worst for it, the worse things got he would just double down and basically call people stupid that said you should change something.

If Cooper didn't change he would have got sacked last season - his adaptability means the club don't have to make a change because he would do what an incoming manager would change anyway. Every time we hit one of those points last season where things were dicey he would change something drastically and it worked every time.

Talk Sport is woeful-the presenters are clueless, to the point where it’s embarrassing the lack of knowledge about clubs other than big 6. The phone ins and topic, generally relate to the big 6 and are just show horned on’ next is Man Utd lack of transfer activity’ so they are going to talk about nothing!! Probably get pelters for this but if he is on I find Simon Jordan more interesting-can be an arse but least he has an opinion, challenges, not afraid to stick his neck out, particularly on issues such as boxing etc.

Jordan is interesting when he talks about the stuff he knows about like owning a football club, but his opinions are generally rubbish imho

Unless he's a secret Slade superfan I imagine the attraction of going to work for a club depleted of its best players, with no prospect of replacing them and at the same time living and working in f***ing Wolverhampton is not on his or any other managers bucket lists.

Having both lived and worked in Wolverhampton I can only concur.
