Just think about Nadal on clayI think if you were a premier league ref you'd tell your family you're a train driver and encourage them to follow tennis.

This is when Sky send Micah Richards and Roy Keane, with Andy Hinchcliffe on commentary.Wonder who we get Sunday + will sky be allowed into the ground with how todays going!
I think you're on to something, those penalty decisions where taken way to quick. It was almost like "I'll show you" It is imperative we are given the audio transcripts. The more I think about it, the more it seems pretty obvious that Sunday was PGMOL flexing their muscles. No we aren’t changing the VAR, and what’s more this is what happens when you ask. Or ‘raise concerns’ anyway.
Some will say we should have just said nothing in the first place of course. And now we’ve upped the ante again.

It's kind of sad/funny/pathetic actually how pretty much everyone in football outside the 'elite' is saying "the games gone, referee's are inept, VAR isn't fit for purpose, something must be done etc, etc, etc", then Forest actually do actually take a stand (or at least let's say, do some slightly ineffectual posturing) and everyone is either clutching their pearls, laughing their arses off, or turning puce with righeous indignation.
That's not to say I think we're innocent bystanders in all this, or this helps in any way our 'noble cause' to stay hitched to the Premier League gravy train, but jeez. Fed up of this servile, "don't rock the boat" attitude. If it just means they're going to relegate us even harder now it kind of proves the point, no?
The fuss is exactly what we need and exactly what the tweet was designed to do.I understand your view and I think that we are both highly frustrated with the the repeated errors.
i just believe the Club acted too quickly with the tweet. The press (unfairly) are all over us. We can do without the fuss.
Exactly. The fuss is exactly what we need and exactly what the tweet was designed to do.
Attwell has always been a very poor referee. Him f***ing up things is certainly not exclusive to us. He was demoted years ago (in 2012) but somehow fought his way back on to the exclusive list. His running is excellent. I will give him that. But his decision making and feel for the game are poor, and always have been poor. He is a lousy referee, and I don't quite understand how he has a FIFA badge.Attwell was in charge when we were denied a penalty against Bournemouth due to an incorrect offside call. He was in charge when we had Worrall sent off and a penalty given against us v Manchester United. Attwell was on VAR on Sunday. He doesn't seem to do that well refereeing us. Apart from the disallowed Derby goal years ago.
His ability to do just enough, and nothing else, is what gets him back to the list.Attwell has always been a very poor referee. Him f***ing up things is certainly not exclusive to us. Wasn't he the ref that allowed a goal, when the ball went through the side netting?Attwell has always been a very poor referee. Him f***ing up things is certainly not exclusive to us. Anthony Taylor hugely at fault for the third and most obvious penalty - there's no (good - they'll be the odd fuckwit suggesting they just 'know it wasn't' or something) argument against that not being a penalty.I think it's worth getting a bit more Taylor in to this and the media conversation. We are all being ushered in to making it all about Attwell. It goes deeper than that. Also it's a conversation that needs to be brought back to the word 'bias' rather than corruption again and again.
Howard Webb should have been at The City Ground, with the PGMOL lawyer and the audio tapes, by 2pm yesterday afternoon. Then this whole matter could have been sorted.Have PGMOL released the audio yet?
No?
Why not?
It must (surely) exist?
Make your life easier PGMOL - give us the ENTIRE afternoon's audio, from about midday.
One file. No editing needed. No delay in handing it over.
After all - you have nothing to hide, do you.
And the LAST thing you want to do is leave yourselves open to suspicions of the eventual audio not being exactly what was recorded at the time...
There's a arrogance pervading the PGMOL that prevents them from behaving like that.Howard Webb should have been at The City Ground, with the PGMOL lawyer and the audio tapes, by 2pm yesterday afternoon. Then this whole matter could have been sorted.
We also all know they will want the response dealing with before the the events that lead to the response which is not only backwards chronologically but backwards in thinking unless it's sheer arrogance. It's one or the other but it can't not be one of them. There's a arrogance pervading the PGMOL that prevents them from behaving like that.

Everything is ok in the world of reffing
"BREAKING: Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor have been confirmed by UEFA as the Premier League representatives going to Euro 2024 with David Coote and Stuart Attwell chosen for VAR"
He's Australian, if that makes any difference - not sure if working in England is enough to be nominated.FA will have nominated them.
Always going to be their agents rather than someone like Gillett who's isn't towing PGMOLHQ line despite him being demonstrably the best ref in the PL at the moment.
The downside is that we now face charges against the club, the manager and a player. Do we really need this at this crucial time? The fuss is exactly what we need and exactly what the tweet was designed to do.
So…. Stuart Atwell, coming to Germany, you say?Everything is ok in the world of reffing

The other two he needed VAR for, the third he shouldn't have done, but then they 'let him down'/backed him/cheated as well. That third call beggars belief - it's as clear and obvious a penalty as you'll ever see. *****.
The tackle from behind was outlawedEven the ref's signal that he got the ball makes no sense. I think it was clumsy rather than violent but even if he did toe the ball (he didn't) he's taking the man at the same time from behind, and he's just collapsing on his ankles, it's not controlled. Absolute shocker.
