Think this all amplifies why I can't be bothered to read or watch pundits and the media pontificating on these subjects.

They all have an agenda anyway and, additionally, think they know what it's all about and the rest of us are mugs who need guiding.

Didn't he call Mick McCarthy an English c--t or something like that?
To quote:

„Mick, you're a liar … you're a f***ing wanker. I didn't rate you as a player, I don't rate you as a manager, and I don't rate you as a person. You're a f***ing wanker and you can stick your World Cup up your arse. The only reason I have any dealings with you is that somehow you are the manager of my country! You can stick it up your bollocks!“

Not that I'm defending Keane but this is a bit of a myth

The tackle was on Haaland's right knee but ultimately it was the pre-existing injury to his left knee that caused him to retire; Haaland actually played the rest of that game against Man U and a few afterwards

Although of course the incident as a whole probably contributed to his decision to retire

possibly

But it is also possible that the strain of a bad tackle on his right knee caused a worsening in the pre-existing condition in the left as well.

Neither Keane nor Haaland were massive 6' plus 15 stone beasts but the force of a strong tackle is still quite significant especially with a tough tackler like Keane.

And at the point of it going into his right knee it would have put the strain of his body presumably unprepared onto the left.

Let's also not forget players can play on with bad injuries in sports in general, Cohen walked off with an ACL, Andy Murray played on with his ankle the other week, Psycho even tried to play on with a broken leg, the pain can sometimes be delayed also due to adrenaline.

If it's been officially cited that the tackle by Keane effectively ended Haaland's career, as opposed to bravado in biographies and fan/media speculation, then it would presumably have had to go through both clubs' insurance and this would probably have needed some form of citation or proof
