So what do we think of Antonio then?

First Team Squad
The sort of player who could win a game with individual brilliance or do pretty much nothing and barely show up.

Exciting player to watch when he is in the mood though.

We have had a few of those. Still worth having as Pearce won't let him coast

Here's the thing, I was pleased when we signed him, thinking he'd team up well with Velwijk, Fryatt and Pato (amongst others) racing in to get on crosses. Now we've got Assombalonga (there's one to add to your browser's dictionary) I'm entirely certain he's worth significantly more than he was at 5 this evening.

Rough diamond, wants polishing, coach the weaknesses out of him, let Pearce and the likes of Reid, Burke get involved there, happy days.

Also, with Mackie, Henderson and Cox going or gone, we need a combative edge up front. He's a bulldozer.

I agree. I've not seen him that many times, but he's looked a strong player who won't get pushed about.

Who will BooBaby boo?
Did Sheffield Wendy used to have flag days for him? Dress up and make merriment in his honour, praps we could start it if they didn't?

just been browsing an Owls forum, split between good and bad move for the Owls, number of numb nuts hating him because hes gone, others mentioning injury problems, report a mixed opinion of the player and his contribution to the team.

Antonio was obviously plan b to Albert Adomah. Very similar players, the former just cheaper.

This is similar to what my Wendys friend has said.
We've got the guys here to help players reach their potential.

I think we overpayed.

However, I also think he'll be a very good member of the squad. He's fast, powerful and unpredictable. Can be a nightmare to play against.

I love our wide options now. Pato, Burke and Antonio all give us something different.
