Snatchday 1: Nottingham Forest Vs the PGMOL

You just know we'll get a decision go our way on Saturday "Looks lads, everyones watching us now, if we give them a decision it wont look as bad, but ffs dont give them their 2nd penalty of the season, they might end up taking 2 points away from Man City"

Even though it will be a cricket score.
7-0 down, 92nd minute "penalty to Forest, see, these things do even out over the course of a season"

Even after a few days I still believe that statement was ill advised and will do more harm (to us) than good. We could and possibly should be talking about a recent win, 4 points cushion from 18th and an appeal to look forward to.

Clatternburgs appointment has either ruffled some feathers at the PGMOL as he knows the dirty little secrets or they simply think he's a tart. Either way it's pissed off alot of people.

... but as all matchday officials are incorruptable, and have had the operation to eliminate all forms of bias from their psych, we should have nothing to fear.
Today:
we will be cleared of FFP breaches and all 4 points will be returned to us;
the Everton v Forest game will be ordered to be replayed;
Forest will announce Season Card increases were an april Fool joke, and state that prices and age concessions remain as per this season.

Right, got to go now: all pigs have been fed and ready to fly.

I don't get this, I keep hearing things like this and "you're definitely not going to get any decisions now". Well if that's the case then it proves there's bias and we're right to blow the lid of it. If they're incorruptible as we keep being told then we've got nothing to worry about.

I really hope that EM, NES & co have already agreed that if they get a glaringly dodgy refereeing decision in their favour that they contrive to let the other team have something back. Can’t see it happening but it would show some class

The FA are considering releasing the audio to the public, but this won't be until next week at the earliest. At least 8 days after the event.

As a reminder, Liverpool's audio was released within 24 hours of them asking for it to be made public.

The game is run by self-righteous simpletons

The referee - VAR setup is a boys club. As someone posted earlier, Darren Fletcher once said that it was embarrassing listening to some of the VAR comms during his commentary. The only way to make it honest is for those comms to be broadcast in real time, in the ground.

If your appeal is today it could be linked to that. This season has sorted of proved anything is possible.

"Here you go Forest, have 2 points back but shhhhhhhh next week about releasing the recording"

Well if that’s the case , then it shows what a bunch of amateurs they have working there.

Surely doing your job professionally and with integrity far outweighs your personal childish agenda

I'd go further and suggest it's why it's been happening. We pissed them off at some point earlier in the season, and they've been giving us nothing since. Because we refuse to accept the "human error" excuse and doff the cap, and say, "yeah actually it's fine that this incompetent old-boys network consistently make basic mistakes that could end up costing us hundreds of millions of pounds, our bad." Instead we just keep escalating our response until we are where we are now.

And yes, Marinakis has also made made plenty of mistakes that have cost us money. But it's his money, his mistakes, and whatsmore unlike the PGMOL he is held accountable for them, as the four point penalty has proven.

Gary Neville being a massive hypocrite for a change, didn’t see that one coming.

I hope him and that scouse twat carragher are at the City Ground on Sunday.
I'm hoping that we get long loud renditions of "Sky TV are w*nkers, Neville's full of shit". I'm sure even Man City fans will join in with that making it even more epic.

They had a chance there of wrestling back control of the narrative by just revealing warts and all what was said and holding their hands up if it was crap.

8 days?! Why?

I'm not on the conspiracy bandwagon re the decisions themselves but the response is definitely being coordinated with something other than transparency and fairness in mind. 100%.

CONCERNS OF CORRUPTION AT ALL-TIME HIGH AS UK FALLS TO ITS LOWEST EVER SCORE ON GLOBAL CORRUPTION PERCEPTIONS INDEX - Transparency International.

We're still ranked 20th (1st is least corrupt) but we used to be a steady 7th/8th.

If we're going to the dogs in government then what are the chances for our entirely self-regulated football industry, which has large stakeholder interest from Saudi Arabia, ranked 53rd, and China, 76th. Plus a whole load of gambling sponsorship.

Greece, ranked 59th, allegedly suffers more from corruption than Saudi, so the good news is Marinakis should know how to pilot these waters.

PGMOL have agreed to release the VAR discussion from the three incidents on Sunday.

Just been announced that there is no audio for the third goal - the one where Taylor indicated Young got the ball. Apparently it said on the big screen it had been reviewed by VAR! From my disabled seat on the lower tier back row I had no view of the screen ( interestingly not a restricted view seat).

Of course it’s all above board!!

Varoufakis does a great talk on corruption in southern European countries compared to the north. Yes in Greece you can pay a doctor to jump the queue, yes you can avoid a police fine if your cousin is a police officer. Loads of stuff like this goes on all the time.
Corruption in the UK is on a far grander scale as we've seen with PPE and similar things recently. And that's only the ones that come to light.
I think we get away with it here with the image of , we're British old chap we don't do things like that.

Funny. So either, the VAR sat there impassively in silence while what looked all ends up at least potentially a penalty incident occured with the on-field referee some distance away, and did nothing. Or they are lying.

It'll probably turn out he'd gone for a shit at halftime and not come back yet.
