Getting a bit sinister how demanding a reasonably level playing field is being painted as “victimhood” by all and sundry, to be honest with you.
Much like with our politicians in this country, the press/media will do whatever it takes to sweep corruption under the carpet.Getting a bit sinister how demanding a reasonably level playing field is being painted as “victimhood” by all and sundry.
Man U away blatant push in the back on Kouyate in the final minutes when we’re chasing the game at 3-2- Brentford, Maupey distracts the on-field referee so Toney can physically move the referee's line for a free kick, scores when Forest were winning, we lose.
Darren England
- Liverpool, referee completely ignores the rules and gives Liverpool possession after a head clash, they score in the last minute, we lose.
Paul Tierney
- Bournemouth, Boly red card at 0-0, we play most of the game with 10 men, we lose.
Rob Jones
- Newcastle, Awoniyi taken out at 0-0, no review, we lose.
Anthony Taylor
- West Ham, Williams taken out, no review, we win.
Thomas Bramall
- Spurs, Maddison punches Yates in the stomach, they do review but see nothing wrong with it, we lose.
Simon Hooper
- Everton, 3 clear penalties, no reviews for any of them - same incidents given to other teams on the same day, we lose.
Anthony Taylor
We also have
- Brentford, Niakhate red card
Paul Tierney
- Man U - Pen on Rashford for dive/Worrall red
Stuart Attwell
- Everton, No pen given for a clear foul
Paul Tierney
- Brighton, no pen given for foul on Neco
Michael Salisbury
Which match was the handball / goal kick incident in? And the Wood/Yates incidents mentioned by @Timothy Pope ?
Also any more?
Man U away blatant push in the back on Kouyate in the final minutes when we’re chasing the game at 3-2
Arsenal away late on, ball rolls along Declan Rice outstretched arm (in an unnatural position) from a corner while we were chasing game at 2-1.
Simon Jordan is an articulate chap and very good at dominating conversations on that basis - but he's still ultimately singing from the same hymn sheet as Neville, Shearer et al here by talking all around the actual issue without ever addressing it.Worth a listen. I'm glad people are coming out fighting now
PGMOL, the PL and the FA are all pathetic. As are their media shills.I find the PGMOL as out of touch with the real world. To say "you can listen to the audio Forest but we won't let the public hear it" is tone deaf, Sunak style defensive stuff. Pathetic organisation, just looking after its own. Bad for the game. Get them gone ... not the technology, them.
Ze list gets a sequel!View attachment 38695

Surely, they can't stop NFFC from publicly appraising what is heard.I find the PGMOL as out of touch with the real world. I mean, releasing the audio of VAR calls sets a dangerous precedent for what exactly? The people behind it being held accountable for their jobs? A dangerous precedent of not being able to cover up certain decisions?Simon Jordan is an articulate chap and very good at dominating conversations on that basis - but he's still ultimately singing from the same hymn sheet as Neville, Shearer et al here by talking all around the actual issue without ever addressing it.
He also completely ties himself in knots here by stating he is for transparency with regards VAR on one hand - only to go onto say in the very next breath that Forest shouldn't be able to demand the audio of the contentious VAR calls because it would set a dangerous precedent - that precedent being essentially the very same transparency he just said he was for.
Telegraph has definitely got worse recently. If that's possible. Seemed to get worse when UAE buyout was closed. I think it's back in the hands of Lloyds banking group now though. And many of these "news" outlets have enabled unprecedented levels of corruption in British politics also.
The press/media in this country have played a huge part in shaping the country into what it is today. If we are living in a "Trumpian, post-truth era" as they claim, well... they played their part in making it that way.
It just fuels the conspiracy chat.I mean, releasing the audio of VAR calls sets a dangerous precedent for what exactly? The people behind it being held accountable for their jobs? A dangerous precedent of not being able to cover up certain decisions?
There is not one good argument for not releasing for audio of VAR calls, not one. If they had nothing to hide, all VAR audio would be made available to the public.
And there was me thinking he was just an obnoxious cnutSimon Jordan is an articulate chap and very good at dominating conversations on that basis - but he's still ultimately singing from the same hymn sheet as Neville, Shearer et al here by talking all around the actual issue without ever addressing it.

"The PGMOL and the Premier League are very disappointed Nottingham Forest have chosen to break confidentiality following our generous offer to share the audio..... blah, blah, blah..... The club have seven days to respond the the charge."Surely, they can't stop NFFC from publicly appraising what is heard.
Yep. It reflects very poorly on them still. If there is nothing wrong with the VAR audio, then the easiest thing for them to do would be to make it publicly available and make Forest look foolish. It just fuels the conspiracy chat.
Which is probably what they want now, to deflect from their rank incompetence.
Indeed it doesZe list gets a sequel!
Who are we going to nominate as this lists Crewton though? Simon Jordan? Gary Neville?Indeed it does
This one doesn't have crewton's grubby haribo paws near it though

Yes, I was going to do that the next time I added anythingYou should separate the list out into individual decisions rather than group by game in my opinion otherwise you lose the scale of it somewhat.
If you did that you can add three more lines immediately (1 Everton away becomes 3, 1 Bournemouth home becomes 2).
shatwell?Who are we going to nominate as this lists Crewton though? Simon Jordan? Gary Neville?
Yep, he’s an absolute ****!For what it's worth, Clattenburg was responsible for the only refereeing performance I've ever seen with my own two eyes that I thought could have been described as "corrupt". He followed that up after the game with *allegedly* telling David Moyes (our manager at the time), "You can't give a penalty against Liverpool in the last minute". Moyes went on live TV immediately afterwards and claimed the refereeing had been biased. He was, predictably, charged by the PL but then charges were dropped and it was all hushed up and Clattenburg didn't referee another Everton game for years. It was over 6 years before he was seen back at Goodison.
I find the hypocrisy of Clattenburg being front and centre of this whole "corruption" thing at the minute a little bit galling
Boggles the mind seeing them all laid out like that. Usually you get a few bad decisions over a season but this is something else - and, in the age of VAR, there's absolutely no excuse for getting the vast majority of those wrong.
Twitter thread of the bad decisions we’ve had
