Snatchday 1: Nottingham Forest Vs the PGMOL

Factual or not it looks pathetic coming from an official club account on social media and surprised anyone defends it. It stinks of amateurism and sour grapes.

Should have let Nuno and neco call it out at post match interviews then the club could then still publicly request the audio

That's your opinion but I've got to the point of burn the house down and see where the chips fall. I don't think I've seen anyone say it looks like sour grapes and public opinion seems to contradict it.

Couldn't give a flying f**k what the media thinks about it tbh

Fair play to the club. What we want of course is transparency, and at least some positive action from the refs association. Their rules are not fit and clearly there’s a huge conflict of interests that has been highlighted by Forest. It can’t be allowed to continue. The arrogance is astounding from the association.

For those that don’t like the dirty clothes on the line… it’s not Forest that’s been hiding here. Every communication has been clear.
Although, as remarked earlier, I applaud the club for making that request, the PGMOL was clearly embarrassed by the content of the recorded conversation when it was pressured by a Sky-6 club to release it earlier in the season, so there is no chance it will bow to a similar demand from a "small' club.

We've been calling out these inexplicably shit decisions all season via the normal means and nobody cared.

Whether the approach EM took yesterday sits right with you or not is ultimately immaterial - everyone is now talking about what happened.

I’d go as far as saying if the media who are essentially paid to big up the ‘big 6’ and talk about how great sky are dislike what we’ve done that means it’s succeeded.

It seems to me that some of the criticism against us is, in fact, an appeal to continue to doff the cap.

"You can't say that!" "You can't criticise the authorities. Show some respect" "Pipe down and just get on with it." "You may have been wronged but don't rock the boat as you'll only bring trouble on yourself."

I think Forest could have handled this better yesterday but we are where we are.

And Forest have decided they have had enough cap doffing for this season, having taken the cap off and flung it into the PL's faces.

Sometimes in life people/organisations etc feel they have no option but to fight back. And when you feel all other avenues have been exhausted, fighting back is the only option. Especially if it is against authorities.

The Daily Express reporting that were she still alive Princess Di would've given all three penalties
So she wouldn't have sent Lewis Hamilton off for a 2nd yellow after the handball then?

Respectfully, I cannot disagree with this more. We have been cordial, multiple times throughout our nearly 2 seasons in this league, it's got us nothing but a half-arsed apology and f*** all else.

We, as many other clubs, players and fans alike, should throw this servile attitude out the window, and push for real, meaningful change.

OTOH, the scouse asking and it being released (for one offside not 3 bad decisions) surely sets some sort of precedent that clubs should get it when requested.

If they don’t then Forest have successfully boxed them in. That’s in itself highlights the duplicity and incompetence. Forest have every right to take action

Whistleblowers are somehow not allowed outside the top 6

Then if they don't release the conversation, Otis, they will be treating a 'smaller' club different to a 'big' club which they claim they don't do! So we get to hit them with that to.

Right now, I'm all for putting a bakery sign on PGMOL's building to see if anything happens.

they would at the very least have to explain why the footage was released to Liverpool when they had a goal incorrectly ruled offside and not to Forest who had 3 clear penalties declined.

You see all the time though in our professional lives. It’s about fear that stopping action, conforming to some kind of unwritten code? It’s utter bollox well done Forest

This is very much about Forest building a case. Only this time it’s in the public eye with intense media pressure

The world is mad generally, all these processes and procedures and yet the service is as bad as ever.

How about doing what is logically the right thing. You can’t review for a 2nd yellow even though it is a blatant mistake and will have a huge effect on the match.

I have just witnessed a murder but sorry guv I don't have the authority from my master to be able to say who it was.

The above statement is just to show the ludicrous nature of that statement in case any AI is scanning the forums.

It is clear the vast majority of football folk are behind Forest here. They are sick to death of the endless incompetence of the PL/PGMOL and their self assumed infallibility.
Media spivs Neville/Carragher etc and those self indulgent twats from MOTD are of course circling the wagons but, allowing for club tribalism, the clear majority of football folk are backing Forests stance here.

And for the failed journos and wannabe bedroom bloggers that constitute the Forest podcast landscape who are content (pun intended) to cry about how the club have embarrassed them, f*** off and support Derby you self entitled pricks

Keep fighting the good fight YOU REDS 🌳🌳

This is surely what the tweet was all about ...... it wasn't posted to change any of yesterdays decisions or Boly's shameful red card or the fact the ref against Liverpool changed the laws of the game or the many obvious penalties we haven't been given. It was posted to get everyone talking about it, to show the other 14 that they should have a voice. To change things in the future.

I'm not sure it will make any difference but we've garnered a hell of a lot of support despite the nature of the tweet.

The PL have done everything they could to stitch us up, even with the PSR. They don't like clubs with money who are prepared to spend it. It will upset the apple cart. They will try and tuck Leicester and Villa up as well for the same reasons..... f**k the PL and f**k Sky too.

We've submitted a request for the audio to be released.

Sent from my SM-G990B using Tapatalk

That is a perfectly reasonable request, for which there is a well publicised precedent.

In before the audio was corrupted and not useable.

Would not surprise me in the slightest if the audio is "unavailable"
"Technical error"
"Lost"
"Human error, forgot to records"

They can't, surely? That would really make those who want to stick fingers in ears currently actually consider the "impossible."

Far more likely they get Atwell to record some spiel now and pass it off as legit.

I bet the audio will have been misplaced and therefore our request will be cancelled.

f*** the lot of em, the other 14 teams should stick together to push for change but they won’t do.

You already saw palace sticking the boot in on Twitter, it’s almost like they’re happy finishing 15th every year if they can pretend the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal like them.

I have no confidence that the recordings exist at this moment.

If there is any (and I do mean ANY) delay in their release, then there is resonable grounds to wonder if the tapes of Sunday's game are being recorded on Monday afternoon, as I type this.
