Snatchday 1: Nottingham Forest Vs the PGMOL

Rugby Union doesn't flow and move as quickly as football does. It's basically a series of set pieces with odd sprint chucked in.
Also I’m convinced no-one actually understands the rules, or what’s going on in those rucks, or mauls, or whatever they’re called.

Penalty blues!

If you say so mate.

I've no idea.

Rugby was always the most miserable PE lesson at school. It was always cold and wet and you seemed to spend most of the time standing around.

Hated it so much, I've not watched more than 5 minutes at a time in the 44 years since.

Forget Forest for a minute, I really think that will have been the final straw for a lot of people with respect to VAR.
Agreed that and the scrapping of replays people are becoming really pissed of im actually shocked at the response to our tweet I thought it would make us a laughing stock but it's the opposite really.
I still maintain it was a stupid way to do it though

VAR will not be removed from the game.
To much time and money has been invested, and no one in the FA/EPL Management will ever sanction its removal becuase after 3 seasons it is too much humble pie to swallow.

Yes no chance but it could be if everyone mobilised and fans stayed away from games for just one Premier league game week however this would never happen were the masters of our own downfall at times in football and in life

Honestly, literally one of the greatest FA cup moments ever, thrown in the f***ing bin for a toenail.

I guarantee the final will be forgotten about the minute the final whistle blows, even among a lot of actual supporters of the two teams.

Spectacular moments as you say to just be erased from history it's just not right

This might have just been my imagination, but once we were 2-0 down I felt like we were getting a few more of the contentious decisions in the middle of the pitch. Perhaps as a way of seemingly evening things up so it doesn't look quite so blatant.

Unfortunately, players are either on or offside.
And because of his toenail being nearer the goal than the defender's he has to be ruled offside as the rules currently stand.

It's actually the goal line. Thats the absurdity of the offside rule, the Manchester United defender is much nearer the goal than the Coventry winger. The Coventry winger was judged to have been nearer the goal line than the Manchester United defender.

No wonder our tweet is gaining in further support

That is the entire point. We cant just moan when things go wrong. We were lucky then and unlucky yesterday.
If yesterday was in isolation you might possibly have a point, but surely you can't deny that it was just the latest in a list of matches whereby incompetant/biased decisions by officials negatively impacted the outcome for us.

Plenty were moaning, myself included, when we didn’t get a penalty against West Ham, a game that we won.

Also we don’t win that many because we keep getting stitched up (among other things to be fair). That’s kind of the point.

This is a bit ridiculous as this shows when he receives the ball, not when the ball was played, you do understand offside right?
No I don't I only played in a academy and semi pro. Of course I do. You can slow the footage down and you can see he moves beyond the player after he receives the ball.

You do understand offside right?
