Hard to say with the number of injuries curtailing players progress.

Think Awoniyi was our best £ value signing. £17m but he's a f***ing unit, and he scores. Probably worth £50m+ if he can stay fit and stay consistent.

POTS: Hard to look past Johnson again.

Johnno has had a patchy season.
For consistency, look no further than our vice-captain.

My hope is that BJ gets the goal that keeps us up, reminding folk what an incredible job he's done this year (and last). POTS for me too, though that's a skewed pool given injuries - between him and MGW for that alone really.

Signing wise its interesting that our early work is coming back to help us out so well - I maintain we'd be well out of this but fir injuries to key players. Awoniyi for me too, but special mentions for Morgan, Lodi and Aurier... Danilo too who I think it might end up being our best given more time.

My 10 cents is:
Signing - MGW - until Danilo started playing he was the main creative outlet
PoTS - Brennan - Our only real threat going forward while Taiwo was out, now Taiwo is back they could be deadly

Special mention - Felipe (£2.5m), Aurier (free), Kouyate (free), Lodi (sign him up!) and Hendo/Navas (not seperately but together - they've saved more points than lost)

Johnson's been consistent enough throughout. Folk threw a hissy around Christmas, but it's not like the forum has a good history about judging players well (Freuler the next coming of christ, Mangala shite, Shelvey what a signing etc etc).

Yates - you know what you get with him. Doesn't win it for two reasons for me: Been injured a while, and he hasn't scored the goals like Brennan has. No slight on Yates, still my favourite Forest player and first name on the team sheet for me.

Yates has been I credible but missed too many games for me. BJ involved in every game iirc? (Started all but two?)

Johnson a clear POTY. His goals will ultimately keep us up and he’s been almost ever present in a season where so many others have missed significant chunks of the campaign. He’s shown he’s already genuine Premier League quality and it feels there’s so much more to come. If Anthony Gordon goes for £45m then Bren’ is worth double that

Signings of the season is tricky down to minutes played. Hendo, Danilo, Felipe have all had fantastic “half-seasons” and Taiwo may have romped it but for his injury break. Hard to look beyond MGW who has been awesome to watch at times and (like Jonno) can be part of a young core group that can be part of a Forest side that not only establish Prem status but take us to the next level

POTS Johnno. We’d never be here without his contribution last season and we’d be down already without his contribution this season.

Serge on a free too from me as buy if the season. A) because it was free. B) because the minute he walked on the pitch at Leicester and barged over that fox shagger he gave us that aggression and experience. It felt like a turning point.

Obviously backing cooper was great too

POTS Johnson, in terms of consistency his got a long way to go at this level. That's credit to him, is clearly got loads to learn but is still POTS. Let's hope his head isn't turned like collymore untill he learns his trade and is ready to move on. All the talk of sancho but his wasting away on the bench of united, after they 75 mill for him. Madness

I would never pick BJ as PotS this season.
He's been very good in spells, but he's supposed to be our main threat and Taiwo has scored the same number of goals in less than half the minutes, and he puts an absolute shift in every time he plays.
This isn't really a criticism of Brennan, he just took a while to adapt, as is to be expected, and for me the 'season' part means the entire season, not just the most recent bit.
I reckon next season is really going to be Brennan's season in the EPL, whoever he's playing for.

Brennan has played every game this season. Taiwo played a couple of clusters. So surely by your season criteria it can’t be Taiwo?

That's why I picked Lodi.
Brennan's average performance level for us was about average for the team over the season. That doesn't tell the full story, because he's been so good in short spells, but earlier on in the season he was just a player we needed to persist with in the hope that he would improve.
It sounds like I'm picking on him, but i'm not, i just don't think he's been our best player.

MGW eclipses Johnson for me

He is key to every attack we have, he will always be involved somehow & has more goal contribution than Brennan over the season - not including a lot of MGW secondary assists from set piece knockdowns.

Both have had really good spells but for me MGW has had more impact on games than BJ.

Serge the best signing

Col Steve Austin

Viv Anderson
Signing: Danilo, that boy is going to be a star.

POTS: Tricky. Yates or MGW. Probably Yates by a whisker. TBH I wouldn't have thought MGW until that article last week that stated how many chances he has created for us, in another team he'd have a bucket load of assists this season.

Best value for money has to be Lodi, Aurier or Felipe
Best signing: MGW
POTS: Johnson

Sorry Captain I dont think Yates has been this season. Hes not be poor but hasnt really stood out for me. We dont notice if he plays or not, bit like Mangala, Frueller etc.... Im not a wind up either cause people think I have an egenda but I just cant have Yates as the POTS when their are plenty of other candidates that are better. Good squad player and attitude this year though

Nicolás Domínguez - King of the Press
Best Signing: Steve cooper's signature on his new contract;
Player of the Season: Ryan " Never nmind the length, feel the girth" Yates.
Best signing - Steve Cooper as above
Player of the Season: Forest supporters home and away - a real 12th man performance throughout the season. They have consistently kept the faith and backed the team to the hilt.
