Looks like Wolves are fitting rail seats in a part of Moloneaux to enable safe standing and to be fair it’s about time a “prominent” club pushed forward with this. I know that Celtic have had it for a while and I can’t see it being something that will be kept out for much longer. If a club like Wolves successfully trial it next year in the Premiership then everyone will have a safe standing section the following season in my view.

I'm all for standing at matches, just don't cage us in incase there's a load of drunken scousers about.
And keep the standing areas away from walls when you play Liverpool.

On one of the UEFA League semi-finals, whoever last played in Spain I think it was, there seemed to be one whole section of a stand behind one of the goals which looked as if it had safe standing.
Surely our law makers or whoever sanctions safe standing could enquire of those who already have it the pros and cons. I'm sure there won't be any cons, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

You get Leeds fans to emulate the Leeds fans of the 1975 European Cup final and rip all the seats out. Then you have plenty of space to safely stand up all game.

The „Rail“ seats fold up and lock, making a standing area segregated by barriers (the locked seats become a barrier).
Then for matches that must be „all seat“, the rail seats fold down and lock, making it seated again.

The above „standing“ zone is exactly that - unlimited standing (numbers are capped, but you can shuffle around as you wish).
With the „Rail“ seats, the same number of fans are allowed in as there are seats, it’s just they can stand up with impunity.

In the mid eighties they seemed to demolish every away end they went to.
