More chance of Ryan Connor

I personally think think would be an excellent signing.

However we really need to strengthen our back 3 and get a quality centre mid in the team to allow our wing backs more attacking freedom, IMO.

Could be good with Coops. Only reason he wasn't in his u17 cup winners is he was playing up an age group (maybe two?).

Really good at Fulham but not sure what he's done at Spuds.

I think the same thing happened to him, that’s has happened to Spence. It’s fair to say Spurs transfer policy has been scattered

They have a policy of signing a Championship wonderkid after a phenomenal season and then basically loaning them out whilst they buy and play garbage players for the same position, they do sweet fa to develop young players imho.

Jack Clarke is also a recent case in point who Sunderland are rating as a £10m player but who played zero times for Spurs in the league after signing from Leeds and who eventually ended up moving to League one Sunderland who played him and where he thrived (Like he could have done staying at Leeds).

They basically stifle players development

Spence is now behind Royal and Porro who cost between them something stupid like £70m. I wouldn't start Royal for us nevermind them who somehow have got themselves believing that they are an elite club.

If we can get Sessegnon I would be happy as he is good and in fairness when I've seen him come on for Spurs he's been good and the sort of player you could see Cooper getting a tune out of.

Postecoglou will be different for them if they stick to him long term, but they’ve got such a bloated squad from different recruitment profiles.

FWIW I like this transfer, and if he comes in signals that Lodi isn’t coming back.

One of those players that I'd back Steve Cooper to get the best out of. Still, it's a Nixon link so I'll file it under unlikely for the time being.

Sounds about right to me.

Clarke is a good example - they did similar with reidy basically back in the day as well - because at a key age he didn't progress at all being with Spurs and he wasn't ever going to be near the team.

Loan backs are a bad thing in some ways but in others they are good as it allows a player like that to develop at their old club where they have more chance of playing. If Spurs had loaned Clarke back to Leeds he would have been in the side more than learning in Spurs reserves.

I always thought he was a decent prospect when he came on against us when he was a teenager and looked like he would have a fairly high ceiling as at least a good CH winger but then he had that health scare and didn't seem to come back with as much confidence then they sold him to Spurs. Seems that the Sunderland move has helped him get back some confidence but as you say would have been better not going.

Spence is another good example because the likelihood would be that he wasn't going to be any higher than third choice and he's just had a year where he didn't play for them at all really and then ended up on loan but then really if we had signed him instead of Neco would we have had a better player or would people be making the same complaints about bad defending? It's been done loads on here and without seeing him in the PL we'll never know.

Pretty much what others have said, not sure why young players are looking at Spurs as a good destination for their development, I can’t think of many young players who they have signed who have gone on to improve.

I like RS, sort of profile I want us to go after, likewise CHO. Still in their early 20’s, have decent experience already, lots of potential to improve.

i'm still waiting for the rumor linking forest to a 30m bid for rhian brewster because cooper knew him so well at u-17 and can get him back to his wc winning level when he won the golden boot

I think we could get 30p Lee Anderson to fund the transfer of Brewster and still expect change! Imagine him getting unveiled on the pitch and Nick Randall running out of the stands to bring him to the ground via a headlock whilst Omar Richards "Accidentally" steps on him 5 times as he tries to avoid treading on him crutches in hand.

he was bought for 25m from fulham, i'm guessing a loan then ? Tottenham will be asking for 40m as he still got like 2 years to go on his contract.
