Every club needs a roster of legends and we're fortune to have quite a few on that list. Watching Roy in his prime would be enough to put him on that list for me. It's about the football for me, not the other stuff - unless whomsoever it is has done something really unlegendary.

I agree with you about the hyped-up "legend" blather. But don't imagine for one minute that Roy Keane does not have a deep connection to Forest. He knows and has acknowledged that
if Forest had not signed him he would be sweeping the streets in Cork. The club is a big part of his life.
So without being sentimental, the fact that he's walking away now is pretty serious. I am quite sure that if he thought there was a decent chance that things were going to turn
out well he'd have stayed. He's not a stupid man and he he has judged that the chances of him and Martin succeeding are not good.
Draw your own conclusions, but I don't think this is a good sign.

Walked out on us. Walked out ('sent home') on his country in Saipan. Left United by 'mutual consent'. Stood down at Sunderland when they were badly struggling in the relegation-zone. Dismissed by Ipswich after an appalling spell. Also walked out as an assistant manager at Villa.
