AgreeI'm sick of hearing of this bum.
f*** him off.
Being a sports journalist in Turkey must be the easiest job ever, you literally just make shut up, never get anything correct and make a living somehow.
Hopefully just regurgitating the Turkish "journalist" links. Really don't want us to be signing dross like Saiss.Saiss link popping up again, first time from a British journo?
I think he's a good player personally and obviously a big leader too. I was surprised by how good he still was at the World Cup, only real worry for me is the fact we already have a couple of older defenders in the side and we need to be looking at who comes next.Hopefully just regurgitating the Turkish "journalist" links. He may have been good a few years ago, but signing an aging defender from the Turkish leagues feels like a bad idea. IMO it'd be bringing in another body for the sake of it like Ayew was, rather than a player we actually need.I think he's a good player personally and obviously a big leader too. I think about the Boly move with this one - while it's not the type I'd want as first choice, as a fall back option I think he'd probably surprise a few with how good he still is. The concern for me is the low level of football he has been playing at since leaving Wolves and the fact that we already have a number of centre backs the wrong side of 30. Even if he isn't ready for knackers yard, I don't see what he offers that our current crop of experienced centre backs don't already give us. Just feels like a waste of money and a squad place to me (even more so given that he will be missing at AFCON on top of all that). If we are bringing in another centre back this summer, it needs to be someone younger IMO.I think about the Boly move with this one - while it's not the type I'd want as first choice, as a fall back option I think he'd probably surprise a few with how good he still is. I was just thinking the same - parallels with the Boly signing. Was very underwhelmed signing Boly, really didn't understand the point. Completely proven wrong though, Boly is immenseI think about the Boly move with this one - while it's not the type I'd want as first choice, as a fall back option I think he'd probably surprise a few with how good he still is. Exactly my thoughts. We already have six senior centre backs at the club, what point is there in a seventh?I had hoped we'd be aiming higher than targetting players to come in & 'do a Boly'.
Especially as we still have Boly.
Don't think his remit will be to 'do a Boly' - in you go son, now go and do a Boly...I had hoped we'd be aiming higher than targetting players to come in & 'do a Boly'.
