Given all the talk about how poor Jenkinson is, and if academy players might not be a better alternative for backing up Cash, I thought of opening a topic for yet another right back, given his Olympiacos background.

Some facts: Rezart (that's his full first name, I think he calls himself Rezi) Rama was born in Albania, but raised in Greece. He came to the academy of Olympiacos in 2011, aged 11, and signed a professional contract in 2017. He's an international with all the youth national teams of Albania, and captained most of them. He signed a 3-year contract with you last summer, and has started most matches since (always as a right back, I think).

Over here he played mostly as a center back (very solid, if unspectacular), but also as a right back and a defensive midfielder. I have no idea how he's doing over there, but I've heard positive comments from some of you who've seen him.

He needs to know what time and where to meet up with the rest of the squad.
Otherwise known as the rendezvous with Rama.

A reminder that apart from Richardson (whom those of you here who have seen him seem to rate highly), and Gabriel (who will leave on loan), there's also Rezi, only a few months younger than Richardson (he'll be 20 in December) in the category "young right back, now that Cash is gone".

I suppose if he had progressed enough to be considered as a candidate for the first team you would have heard more about him in the media, but one never knows.

He looked good in the u23 games I saw him play in. That said, i'm not aware of him being involved with the 1st team as yet.

I was wondering if Rama had left, but he's still listed in the official roster of the U23, along with Pietris and Pikoulas (who played very little anyway). Not that this means much, but their names are still on the list, and I've read nothing over here about their return.

Sarantis still plays for the U18. If I'm not mistaken there aren't any other Greeks.

There was a report about them in the Greek press, claiming that all three are very much at Forest, and, in fact, have been training with the first team during the international break.

Not quite sure about the credibility of the source, but that was the claim.

Well, at least Rama is certainly still there, he was on the bench for the U23.

On a short term loan to Truro City. I still don't understand the benefit for a 20-year-old to play in an amateur league, but many of you have pointed out to me that it's actually helpful for young players.

We have some sort of connection with Truro, which seems odd given how far away the west country is from Nottingham, and that there are many other semi-pro clubs of a similar level much closer.

I assume that Gary Brazil trusts the coaches there, as Josh Barnes also recently completed a loan move.
