Ravel Morrison

Hopefully he knows Rooney and goes to derby

I am half expecting that to happen, its the sort of signing a club in as desperate a situation as Derby would make (a bit like the Colin Kazim-Richards signing).

I suspect Rooney would know from experience to stay well clear.
Sad really, every manager has believed they could 'help sort out his issues', but no one has. Some people are beyond help and just enjoy watching the world burn. All the articles would suggest Ravel Morrison is one such person.

He’s an absolute waste of space, who pissed away what talent he was given.

I can’t see a solid citizen like Hughton thinking this one would be a good idea.

Aside from the fact that he’s just been released by ADO Den Haag, he’s a massive dickhead, as everyone has said.

He could’ve been shit hot though. Even when he played against us for QPR, when his career was already on the slide, I’ve never seen anyone so quick with such great control of the ball at the same time.

But these days he’s probably not even that effective on the pitch, so even more reason to steer well clear.

he's like a upgraded version of lewis mcgugan. talented sure but never motivated enough to make a career but just wasted his talents. only 27 but much trravelled and never settled. a lad like him needs a rude awakening to make him realise what he's wasting.

On 21 September 2020, Dutch club ADO Den Haag announced that they had signed Morrison on a contract until the end of the 2020–21 season.[57] His contract was terminated by mutual consent on 9 January 2021.

Couldn't last a whole season. Was similar before hand when he was Shef U and then on loan Boro, who terminated the loan early and the Dingle let his contract run off.

Shame really, such a prospect when he came through at West Ham.

I hope he gets a break somewhere but not here.

why not here. considering our lack of creativity and void oy attacking flair this season , it wouldn't hurt at all if we offer him a deal till the end of the contract.

If you're still taking about Morrison, it was at Man U he came through, and even Ferguson realised he had to be let go (reluctantly, for sure). He then wasted his chances at West Ham and elsewhere (check Wikipedia for his list of loans/transfers).
For someone do young to be so, err, well travelled shows there is a problem there.
Ultimately all managers have failed, hard or soft, which again suggests it's not the club or manager that is the problem.
Forest should steer clear

Nothing but trouble anywhere he's been. If he was 18 you'd be tempted to see if he grew up. He hasn't so stay clear when trying to build a team of professionals.

Yes. You're right. For some reason, I forgot that. Even though I now recall Ham Salad Eyes talking about him needing to get away from Manchester.

Undoubtedly has(or had) talent, but having never heard anyone say a good word about him, it's got to be a 'no' from Forest, surely.

The thing to remember with Morrison is that he hasn't always been awful when he's actually been on the pitch. He's had problems off of it to the point of farce, obviously, but in his very limited game time at a few of these clubs he's actually been alright. He was very good in spells for West Ham and Birmingham but fell out with Allardyce over a contract, if I recall. One of the curious things about his career is that him leaving clubs has often been by his own choice rather than the club wanting to get rid.

This isn't to say he's a great player who is going to rip up the league, the evidence suggests it's far from that, but I think if he plays against us he might be a bit more dangerous than people are suggesting. Of course it will be a miracle if he actually gets that far.

Yeh, Allardyce bombed him out because he wouldn't sign with one of Big Sam's preferred agents, apparently. He also had a short spell at QPR on loan where he was superb.

I remember watching him live for Eng u21's and his ability on the ball stood out a mile in a team that had Zaha & Sterling in it. It's obviously a gamble but in Derby's position I think he's one worth taking.

Let derby take the gamble.

Last thing we can afford with a thin squad is a trashed dressing room…
