Don't know if it's common knowledge or not, but Chippers has just confirmed to me that non-league County will still be getting DAB coverage next season while we're stuck with FM and the freeview channel. Forest will be getting DAB coverage when County aren't playing though so no change there.

I wonder how many other Conference teams get such fantastic service?

I always thought they didn’t give Forest digital to drive ifollow subscriptions. Could be wrong.

What's frustrating is having to pay a subscription to listen to BBC radio. It's a cowboy operation.

most of them as the bbc have a deal for the whole national league, opposed to their individual deals with league clubs

I find it hard to belive that every conference club will get pre match build up, commentary and post match analysis on their local BBC station. Happy to be proved wrong though.

They all get commentary at least as do a few national league north/south teams. Surely Mansfield fans who have no free radio commentary at all should feel more aggrieved?

The two biggest clubs in Nottinghamshire, Forest and Stags, should get the most coverage on RN (but if Stags want their own deal then fair enough).

Plus the occasional update for all the local non league clubs like Basford, Worksop, Notts etc

He does frustrate me, because some of his stores are so obviously just taken from elsewhere.

Take the regurgitated story of McKenna and Gibson today.

But I also respect he's under pressure to churn out stories and click bait titles because the NEP needs the clicks.

He's on a bit of a hiding to nothing. But my main criticism of him would be that he doesn't seem to have any particular insight into the club. You'd think he'd be one of the first to break news stories on the club. You'd have thought he'd have built those links/connections. Even if he had to sell his soul a little to them. Because he'd then get the kudos of posting news first, and the respect and attention that comes with that.

Best of luck to him though.

See Tails said on Twitter that he's leaving the Post but he'll still be covering Forest. Where is he going? Radio Nottingham? Who would poach such a bang average journalist?!
It's got to be either that or working directly for Forest. I reckon the later

Ah, you haven’t seen the Forum Post about LTLF‘s new contributing editor, then?

What I didnt like about Taylor was he was an ultimate fence sitter and opinions were obviously watered down but that was probably because he didnt want to piss off people.

So long as it stays on Freeview I don't care whether its on DAB, FM or shortwave. I can't get Radio Nottingham's matchday on the East Coast except on Freeview.
