Shit post really but as i've sat here for the last 2 hours listening to JJ and DF, its a nice feeling to listen to two Forest fans presenting a national sports station and doing it so well. JJ is head and shoulders above any ex footballer in the media, a proper credit to himself and the people who brought him up.. And us!

There are a few good Forest pundits about.

Jenas, Prutton, Keane is always good value.

Higginbottom (although only briefly) especially, he is the best pundit around IMO. He only doesn't get the big jobs because he was an average player.

We are actually well respesented in the media, in a time where only really top 4 club players get the jobs.

There seems to be a new breed of fairly journeyman ex-players who clearly take their punditry careers seriously and are good value on the tv.

Prutton, Higginbotham and Keith Andrews are all good and much more interesting to listen to than great ex-footballers who just turn up and offer bland cliches (looking at you Shearer).

Chris Sutton has to be one of the worst. He’s just a moaning old windbag who digs everyone out all the time. JJ is a good pundit and now that I’ve got used to his incredibly dull nasal voice, have to say Alan Smith is a decent co-commentator.

Chris Sutton seems to have made a decision that interrupting discussions to announce the subject of each one is just not good enough and needs dropping/sacking is his route to a long lucrative career in football punditry.

Could be right, unfortunately.

He’s a twat. Always has been, like when he refused to play for England B. Twat

Mills is straight out of the Chris Sutton school of punditry. Negative tosspot

Forgive my ignorance, but who is this "DF" you speak of?

Add Martin Keown to that pile.

It seems to be the more intelligent footballers on the pitch are making the best pundits.

Gary Neville comes over as a bright chap if you read his book, he's also an excellent pundit.

5Live (or whatever they're called now) have some decent commentators, apart from Alan Green, who - for some reason - always makes me want to throw my MacBook out the window when he comes on. As I live on the fourth floor, probably not a good idea.

Mike Ingham, Connor McNamara and John Murray are alright though.

I don't watch much live football or punditry but have seen some 'highlights breakdowns' from Gary Neville. Really interesting when he analyses these highlights because he brings up points the average viewer might not notice/expect make a difference at high level professional play.

Things like the defender turning his head, being on his backfoot, 2 CBs being too close/far apart.

Obviously only someone who has played at his level, and especially under a manager as good as SAF can notice these mistakes, but he also has the ability to communicate them as well.

Then I think he started working with Jamie carragher and it went downhill

At least Sutton is slightly tounge and cheek and adds a little bit of humour to it accasionally. Danny Mills is just a twat.

I still like Steve Claridge. Was good on Monday nights on 5Live. The only one (presenter, journos included) who could talk passionately and sound like he has knowledge of all levels from PL to non league.

Sounds an interesting one that. Doesn't excuse his actions, but she doesn't exactly sound the most stable of folk either.

Like attracts like, and emotional women tend to go for primal men simply coz it's a comfortable fit in terms of gender roles. Basically daft lass likes daft lad. Which again raises the question how many daft folk get such cushy jobs in the industry

Joey Barton on talksport is excellent value.

His rant on "glorified P.E Teacher" David Unsworth yesterday was quality listening. Ok he likes the sound of his own voice, but he comes out with alot of sense.
