In addition to David Vaughan, I’d try to get Lee Peltier, Troy Deeney and Stevie May and keep Dan Fox. I know Fox has been poor, but I’m convinced SP will get better out of him. The idea to try and get Cox out on loan sounds feasible, but only when we know what’s happening with Blackstock.

I also like Andrew Surman. He’s done well at Bournemouth and it looks like Norwich may have to cut their wage bill!

Blackstock hasn't contributed anything to our club for around 2 seasons now - although he seems a genuine enough guy I can't see why shouldn't take this betting scandal as an excuse to terminate his contract.

No thanks to Peltier. Not really a fan of signing average 27yr olds as squad players. Much rather younger, more hungry lads who will improve in quality and value, who we can develop.

Just think we know roughly what we'll get at a reasonable price Peltier. The main money will probably go on a CF, a couple of young guns would be good but they could turn out to be anything.

Who do you suggest?

Fair enough, hence the bit about waiting to see what happens with Blackstock.

He may have to retire either way, so this betting thing may be moot.

Been very disappointed in Fox. Defensively he's been pretty poor. Okay going forward but ultimately very ordinary. I suspect he is on a pretty hefty wage as he has come from a Prem team. The epitome of an average journeyman the likes we need to move on. Peltier probably falls into a similar bracket but is slightly more promising than Fox. I wouldn't be too upset if we found some younger talent.

We really need to be looking at better quality footballers than fox and peltier if we want to move forward, sick of watching average championship/ league one footballers pulling on the garibaldi and having no effect on our teams performances, get rid of the average dross and bring in some proper footballers to add to the ten or eleven we,ve got.

I wouldn't be against adding Reece Wabara, looked promising at Oldham, chose to leave Man City to play some football. Young lad, very quick, still got lots to learn, but very handy to be a part of the squad.

For midfield, I am a big fan of Connor Coady, who has had a great year at Sheff Utd, is out of contract at Liverpool and is 20/21 so not likely to get a chance there. Was also Liverpool reserve and England u20 captain.

didn't he only join cause he thought Warnock was coming but signed the contract before Warnock turned it down?

Heard from a good sourde, 10 to 11 players will be leaving the city ground this summet. I assume it will those loanees whos loans end and 6 or 7 players with contracts running out in the summer. SP feels that they have not worked hard enough to wear the forest badge.
Re. Derbyshire. No signs that contract will be offrred.
New signings: SP has given list to Fawaz and wotk has begun. All the plsyers are from lower divisions or young players.

most importantly, SP wants to work on making the club closer. He plans to make the academy and first team more integrated. He has arranged staff meetings to get to knoall the club - club shop staff, ticket office staff, groundsmen etc.
He wants everyone to be united suporting the team as it was under Brisn Clough.

Who makes this stuff up???

Have never seen Wabara, but prepared to take your word for it. Suppose the U21 could help with a player like Coady and he is the right profile to step up.

Would prefer us to get a wide man too, but CF has to be the main priority imho.

Would consider John Brayford from Cardiff. Whose been on loan at Sheffield Utd. An excellent carrier of the ball with a fantastic engine.

Switch Lichaj to LB where he looks very comfortable and Cohen alongside Vaughan as holding midfielders.

I'd keep Cohen at left back agree about Brayford it would be good to have 2 full backs capable of getting up and down the wings.

I've been disappointed with Fox. Not much of an upgrade on Harding.

^^^ I think his injury problems in a way, actually help us. He knows he needs a run of games at a club like he gets here and with 2 years left on the contract and the fact he wants a new deal, puts us in a decent position I would imagine.

Absolutely agree with this, he'd be one of my top targets. He's a match-winning right-back.

However, someone else has said he wants to stay at Sheff Utd.

I've heard a daft rumour that Leicester are interested in Lansbury.

You can see why they would be. I'm also worried teams like Southapton would like him.

The good news he has 2 years left on his contract so Fawaz doesn't have to sell. Personally, I'd be looking to extend the remaining 2 years and make him the highest earner at the club to boot!
