I would say so yes, your always get that select few who refuse.

I was trying to investigate going down the paying for a fast track route, however now I see this isn’t possible I will join the line/queue with the rest!

Would that be a stack?

I would suggest it’s not a queue, a line or a stack. Picture the seething mass of eager trickies as more of a release of sperm and the egg is the entrance to the online ticket office. It’s a bit of a lottery who gets there first.

I won’t get a semi ticket and I’m fine with that. Ordinarily I’d be at least in the 3 ticket band, if not the home membership band, but I’m not - this year covid and life got in the way, and I’m in the 1 ticket band. I don’t deserve one this year.

If I have understood this correctly, you’re saying that I need to dunk my balls in an ice bath between 0930-1000 next Wednesday?

Realistically speaking, if we get to the final how likely would I be able to get a ticket as a non season ticket, non member with purchase history this season?

I think it's possible that a handful would make general sale, but it wouldn't be many if any.

It’s a little extreme, but if you believe it will work, go for it. Channel Wim Hof from that silly tv show, picture Holly Willougbby and you’ll be guaranteed a ticket

Surely there will be more tickets than we have ST holders and members given the capacity of Wembley?

Yes but then there are the people who aren't ST holders or members, but do have a purchase history. I haven't got a clue how many that would be in total by the way, but guessing it would take the total to 30k plus?

I know that when Derby made the final a few years ago they were given 36,000, so I imagine that's what we would get.

Its an expensive option but for £300 a ticket Club Wembley Seats are on sale already via the corporate route - it states you cannot wear colours as its a neutral area not sure how strict they are on that and its smart causal
you have the option of sideline or behind a goal think its £350 for sideline.

I would suggest waiting until we actually make the final but I imagine you would have no trouble getting a couple if you are prepared to pay £300 each.

It could depend, to some extent on who we are playing against - Wembley is more configurable than most League stadia, in terms of being able to accommodate an unequal allocation. Just as an example, and entirely theoretical - I'm not picking on them at all, but if we were to reach the final, against Luton and their most optimistic best case scenario for ticket sales was, say just north of 20k - Wembley wouldn't want to allocate them 36k and know that a good chunk of seats would be sitting empty.

Like I said earlier - club Wembley is the symptom of what's wrong with English football right now.

Plus, in addition to all the ‘corporate’ tickets there be a mass of people who are family/friends/partners who may not even like football much, let alone support Forest, but will want to be a part of our success and have a day out.

I don’t think it matters who we play - a lot of the smaller clubs are capable of conjuring up 38k fans out of nowhere for a playoff final (see Blackpool in 2010 or Burnley in 2009. With partners & family joining in I’d be amazed if Luton didn’t take the full allocation (they’ll lose in the semis with their injuries anyway…).

I quite agree. I would be surprised if any Championship team in the playoff final couldn't fill their allocation. You only have to look at past finals. Have we ever seen a mass of empty seats for any team from the Championship?

The other day I was watching a re-run on Sky of Blackpool vs Cardiff ( the year blackpool did us). Loads of empty seats in both ends.

Luton took 40k to the Johnstone paints in 2009. It is local too so they would definitely sell 36k

As I said, wasn’t picking on Luton, as I have no idea how many fans they could muster up, and just used their name as a ‘placeholder’ for a theoretical situation where a team wouldn’t get anywhere near an equal allocation. Probably unlikely for a Championship play-off final, but could happen further down.

I guess Luton when they took 40k prove your point as they played Scunny who only took 10k allowing them a 40k. I think Wednesday got an increased allocation a few years ago when hull only took 18k allocation
