That's Jan Hammer, the musician / composer

So I think Strummer was alluding to his ban hammer there

Posts that are inherently wrong, but not worthy of a Ban Hammer threat, get a Jan Hammer instead.

2021 - Brentford (3rd) played in their home kit, Swansea (4th) in their away kit (a sort of sky blue with pink details)
2021 - Brentford (3rd) and Fulham (4th) play in the home kits, both wore black shorts
2019 - Aston Villa (5th) and Derby (6th) play in the home kits
2018 - Aston Villa (4th) and Fulham (3rd) play in Home kits
2017 - Huddersfield (5th) played in their 3rd kit and Reading (3rd) in their home kit

I don't know if a team is selected as the 'home' team. The games are always listed Alphabetically. The only game where the kit needed to be changed, in the Hudds v Reading match, the lower placed team wore the away kit.

Was 2021 Swansea in the away kit to avoid a shorts clash? But in the Brentford v Fulham seems no one gave a f***.

It's all about mid-table...
We play in Red & White, have done for over 150 years.

They play in Blue n White stripes dont they?

Am I going insane??

Can’t we just wear red shirts to please the traditionalists, and the fluorescent shorts to avoid a clash with Huddy shorts.

Then we will look like Eddie on his holidays!

Only if the players take the field clutching a pint of Stella in each hand.

Just to bust the myth about Eddie and his sartorial choice, I'm releasing the footage of Eddie on holiday.

I'm with those who won't care a jot if and when we win.

If we lose then whatever kit is chosen will be the reason we lost.

I was wrong on the Fulham v Brentford kit choice, the Bees played in an away kit - blue top, white shorts.

Huddersfield will wear blue and white, and their keeper yellow. So we can either wear our 2nd strip or all red
Let hope for all red. Postit strip can't clash with their keeper.

With our goalkeeper on the day due to wear our yellow ‘keeper kit,

Is it actually certain that wearing White Shorts is considered a problem, or is it just an assumption?

I've always understood it to be referees discretion, and some are fine with a shorts clash - just look at the videos from either of the Sheffied Wednesday / Sunderland Semi Finals where both sides wore their full home kits in both legs including Black Shorts and shirts that are at least 50% White. If that's considered fine then so should our Home kit.

Looking at the FA rules the kepers have to choose colours that don't clash with the two teams colours -

Colours

The two teams must wear colours that distinguish them from each other and the match officials
Each goalkeeper must wear colours that are distinguishable from the other players and the match officials
If the two goalkeepers’ shirts are the same colour and neither has another shirt, the referee allows the match to be played.

We can't wear all red. We can only register a maximum of 3 different colours main colours as shorts or socks etc. We already have white, blue and yellow
