Persistent Standing

Wednesday will be fun then.

So are they going to issue bans in A block and lower Bridgford?
Local Authority do care about standing up in a seated area but don't care about running water, adequate toilet facilities or food hygiene, cool cool.

It's been getting very heated in the Lower Exec all season. Stewards constantly asked why aren't they implementing this in other areas of the ground.
Interested to see if they do actually try to stop A Block.

Yes, and can't see Man U or many other away fans complying at all, it will be a nightmare for the stewards though!

Statement in full ….

Nottingham Forest would like to remind all supporters that persistent standing is prohibited at The City Ground for your safety and the safety of others.

The local authority’s Safety Advisory Group has raised serious concerns about persistent standing during our home matches this season.

Failure to address persistent standing puts the club at risk of severe sanctions, including an enforced reduction in stadium capacity on match days. This would have very negative consequences for our famous atmosphere, limit the availability of tickets for supporters, and harm our finances and reputation. We cannot allow this to happen.

It is therefore imperative we take stronger measures to ensure compliance with strict stadium regulations.

Please be advised that if supporters fail to comply with the requests of our security and stewarding colleagues, we reserve the right to ban individuals from the stadium and rescind season cards, where appropriate. Unfortunately, we have already been forced to ban a number of supporters for persistent standing this season.

Whilst we actively explore long-term solutions to this issue (including the potential introduction of Safe Standing areas) your cooperation is crucial.

Please be respectful of requests from our stewards on match days. They are here to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone in the stadium and enforce compliance with the conditions set out in our safety license.

The club is extremely grateful for your role in helping create the City Ground atmosphere that is known across the Premier League, and beyond. Let’s work together to keep it that way.

We thank you for your cooperation and support.

I sit in the family section of the Peter Taylor stand. It is expected that people should remain seated here. Recently had problems with day trippers persistently standing. So everybody has to stand. So the young kids behind see nothing. And of course the elderly couple next to me can't keep leaping out of their seats. It's fine to stand up in A block but not everywhere.

it’s total bollox legislation which is exactly why people stand.
Let’s see them kick out 30,000 people if we organise mass standing every 10 mins then? They can’t and they should STFU and sort out the inadequacies of running water, and basic infrastructure of the stadium which is a way bigger risk

At every away game I've been to this season we've stood.......personally I'd prefer to sit but I'm an old person .......at Man City we were on the top tier but everybody stood up even those in the front row, they had a great view without standing up. Everybody stood up at Wolves, Chelsea (great view from the top tier), West Ham, etc..........we had to stand at Fulham because we were so near the front. The easy answer to this is to make all away ends & the Lower Bridgeford Stand safe standing. I'd also make A block safe standing. My season ticket for the past 30 years has been been in block R in the LBC - we don't have a problem with standing except some on the back row like to stand particularly towards the end of the game........but they block put the advertising hoardin between the Upper & Lower Tiers for which I assume companies have paid loads. The stewards come and shout at them............to be created with what about those buggers ........pointing at the Lower Bridgeford Stand. The Club is making this a big issue I don't think it is.........a bigger issue is people turning up late..

Same people turn up 5 minutes into the match, same people go out 5 minutes before half time, same people come back 5 minutes after half time, and now we have people (usually day trippers) standing up as soon as we go on the attack and cross the half way line.

Bloody annoying and so rude.
