From the thread titled 'To the fans clapping the players at the end...."

Just one question... why?
Because they accept any old rubbish.
it really pissed me off, couldn’t believe it. I don’t like to put the phrase happy clapper about but these people would come home a burglar and help him fill up his swag bag
They didn’t get relegated on purpose, they’re just not very good players…don’t see an issue with some low key ‘well at least you tried’ clapping

*In response to the above comment:*
They didn't f***ing try!
Anyone who clapped, please stay away. If that is worthy of clapping, you are also one of many issues at the club right now.
Putting it in for 45 mins in a game that lasts 90 is not trying.
They were a disgrace in the first half, yet again.
Anyone that clapped them off is part of the problem.
There's going to be a load of people losing their jobs now because of those c****, are they going to get a f***ing clap when they clear their desks next week?
They get everything they deserve, they're not to fit to wear the shirt, they don't give a f***.
The fans should have been kicking off months ago but they were too busy celebrating draws and arrogantly thinking there were worse teams than us.
Listen to the manager, he sees them every day and he says they're not trying. And he's bang on.
Get rid of the f***ing lot of them.
The c***s.

*In response to the above comment:*
Standard childish response to the situation. Those who chanted that do know that....whether you like it or not....quite a few of these will be here next season don't they.
I get the frustration....I just think its so simplistic to say they are all shit and don't try.

*In response to the above comment:*
How can you watch the last 45 games and not come to the conclusion that they are shit?
They've won nine games, they've conceded four or more in nine of the games we've lost, they've collapsed umpteen times in games, they are shit and they're not fit to wear the shirt.
If they're all still here next season, we're knackered. Get rid.
*In response to the above comment:*
Didn't say they were good enough. We deserve to get relegated and haven't been consistently good enough most of the season. Not aided by managerial decision making. So I agree we haven't been good enough all season. But that doesn't mean 'they are shit'.
Many....as long as they have the desire to...are good enough for league one and can form the backbone of the squad.
Agree we need to be a little ruthless and there are those that might be good enough for.league one but we just need to part company now....for me Pearson, Hogg, Ward and probably some more that I'd question whether we persist with in terms of attitude and desire...koroma for instance.
There are some in the squad who are good enough for championship so definitely not shit. Helik, Thomas for instance. I'd be trying to keep Helik but I think we might need to move on from.Thomas purely to try and move away from this reliance on set pieces

*In response to the above comment:*
Seven managers have managed them in the last two seasons and they've won 21 games out of 91. They are shit.
Some of us kicked off the moment Neil Warnock was let go
But those on here who supposedly know better turned on us and Neil
We knew what would happen!!
Those who supported Neil's departure are the ones to blame!!
Agree with the OP. Disgrace that people think that game and this season is at all worth clapping.
As someone said, town will have to make actual hard working people redundant.
Clap those people not this absolute wasters wearing the shirts who have failed to do their jobs for years.
Won't be sad to see the back of every single one of those.
When has it become acceptable to applaud failure and a lack of effort? And whilst we’re on it, when did it become the norm for any team to do a tour of the pitch on the last home game of the season unless said team were entering the play-offs? We were off today as soon as the ref’s whistle touched his lips.

From the thread titled "On reason I’m looking forward to league one…"
We need to get back to a core of passionate fanatical fans.
There were more fans there for the L666s game than they did today when it really mattered. Just goes to show what some see as priority.

*In response to the above comment:*
Yeah, it'd be great to get back to crowds of 14000.
*In response to the above comment:*
Try 8000-9000
I really can’t think of anything f***ing positive about this situation to be quite frank other than the majority of these overpaid bottleless c**** will be leaving.
Paint pot trophy and fa cup round one, so looking forward to it. Was crap in 2011 and will be crap again
I can't think of anything positive about being relegated.
And I don't think next season will be the walk in the park some think it will.
Papa pizza, Johnston paint cup against Man Utd u21's. Oh F**k
Most of these wasters are contracted for next season, rather than looking at a squad refresh people need to be looking fowards to social media posts from the club along the lines of how good Danny Ward and Josh Ruffles are looking in pre season training.
Don't like doing a doom monger but I can see us going straight down again
Unlikely to get rid of a good chunk of players we need to
Manager still unproven
Gonna take a lot to reverse the win rate/mentality we currently have
Some good teams in L1
Can’t wait to see 200 Exeter fans going mental on the opening day as they clinch a 2-0 win infront of a 9000 crowd. The good old days are back!

From the thread "Who played the defining part in our demise?":

Well blame is for Gods and small children, the whole thing has been a shit-show for three seasons. What do you believe was the final nail?
Rebecca can’t referee f***ing Welch
The thread question is a false dichotomy or “multotomy”
One thing hasn’t caused our demise, this is the culmination of many, many poor decisions including, but not limited to:
1. Darren Moore, his negative tactics and pointless management style
2. The players - they played for Worthington and Warnock but no one else
3. The board failing to recruit in the summer, failing to keep Warnock, failing in recruiting Darren Moore, failing to sack Darren Moore, failing to keep Worthington, failing in recruiting Breitenreiter
4. The dismantling of the team that got us to the playoffs - immediating selling Toffolo and O’Brien was an absolute joke.
Let’s face it, we scrape by every year apart from the occasional random charge we have that no one can explain. We don’t retain decent managers and re recruit poorly.
We deserve this, and have done for a long time.
Where's the option for firing our best chance of staying up after 6 games?
Oh no, I remember now - that was "part of the plan".
Got rid of LOB and Toffolo, wouldn’t sanction deals for Carlton Morris and other players that led to Corberan resigning. Replaced him with the cheap option in Danny Schofield, oh and he sold up to Phil with a deal that financially hamstrung him and drained the club of the benefits of parachute payments. But no, I don’t think he has any responsibility for our demise…

* Personally I am quite disappointed that someone didn't blame Forest for their relegation in this thread, given their hate-boner for us. Sort it out 'udders fans!

From the thread "Positives from the season?":

I'm really struggling here.
Spencer having his breakthrough season maybe? Although it was another team who developed him and he was only recalled due to injuries.
What a complete shitshow. The people involved should be ashamed!
It ends soon. Some of the players are out of contract.

*In response to the above comment*
It was over weeks ago.
We know we can rely on Worthy as a good caretaker manager
Sheff Utd could make us only the 4th worst prem team of all time.
Helik, Rudoni and Sorba's transfer values will have all increased.
And our owner is willing to splash the cash
Frustrating Leeds with ten men was satisfying.
4-0 v Massive.
3-0 v Blackburn.
...and err thats about it.
Abu Dhabi Blues to win a fourth title in a row consigning our joint record to history.
Florist staying up.
Scum going up.
Likely The Massive or Birmingham staying up.
Oh, ok it’s a positives thread. Are there any? I’ll have to say The Massive or Birmingham dropping alongside us.
What a complete shitshow. You just know the bulk of this squad and the people who added to it will still be here also. Time for Kev to swing the axe from top to bottom as vociferously as seemed to happen with Ann Hough and Warnock.
Zero. Absolutely zero.
The Peacock now serves Madri lager.
I can’t see one positive.
And if the same people are allowed to assemble the squad for the new season I don’t think they’ll be any positives next season either.
I expected a great atmosphere at the start of the game yesterday but all I saw was looks of resignation on the faces of all sat around me.
I’ve just watched a veteran footballer ( Barry Bannon ) spray passes all over the pitch at Blackburn.
We haven’t got one midfield player who is capable of consistently passing the ball or dictating play.
It has been appalling.
None. Close thread.

After that play off final, we should have kicked on.
I wasn't a huge Carlos fan, but he did a very good job and should have been backed.
Coming from that position and then appointing Schofield as permanent manager was a huge error. Since the final whistle at Wembley, it has been abysmal.
To be honest, it has been abysmal since the 2nd PL season. Every decision seems to have been the wrong one.
Forest and Leeds ending the season in the Championship would be a positive.
The guy at the counter gave me two chicken balti pies, despite only paying for one, a couple of weeks ago.
So that was my moment of the season to be honest, never mind positive.
Whoever made Warnock walk needs replacing
Seems an age ago but we played ok against The Red Lion in Devon pre season.
Only positive I can see is it's nearly over.
Absolutely hate to say it but the positive for me is its the first season since the stadium was built that I've failed to make any home game. Distances involved and the shower on the field have ruled it out. If the date turns out favourable I'll no doubt be at Exeter next season. Maybe Plymouth as well but think they will stay up.
We've only got one more game to witness most of these spineless jokers making a mockery of our club.

From the thread "Does the Forestieri fun bus have directions to League One" - Started by a Sheffield Wednesday fan:

If not.... Google is your friend
Hahaha are you a child?
Your team has been fantastic for the last 6 weeks or so, you've just spanked a decent WBA side to guarantee your survival, and 15 mins after full time you're on our messageboard gloating over something we've all accepted and been expecting to happen for weeks.
I'd be in the pub celebrating personally, but each to their own you silly little knacker
Memories of the Premier league cannot be taken away!!
Chansiri not spending anymore
We will be back next season..the Barcelona of league one
This is just as sad as Forest fans jeering us straight after beating us in the play off final and not staying in the stadium to celebrate.
Anyways looking forward to replacing Wednesday come May next season
I’ll tell you what, the pain you have from the play offs is far worse than what we are going through now xx
I have nothing but respect for the way Wednesday have got themselves out of it. Brilliant effort.
Their fans are however absolute shit for brains with the intellectual abilities equivalent to a pile of horse manure.
Since that night we've have two seasons in the Premier League and the remainder in the Championship - with a further Wembley trip along the way.
Wednesday have had two seasons in League One.
Weirdo

* The comments in this thread towards the Wednesday fan show a hilarious lack of self awareness, given their fans weird obsession with Forest and Leeds!

Funny as f***.

It was disappointing they didn’t blame us directly but they did suggest losing LOB and Toff was a factor. So we had a hand in that, I’m taking it😅

Anyway, I don’t know what they are on about, surely they are a L1 team anyway. It’s only recently when they got the new ground when attendance went above 10k and even more recently when they started giving ST’s away for f*** all that they got over about 14k and got in the prem late teens.

My wife’s family live that way on and their neighbours never knew what football was before “Town” got promoted. I never had a football conversation with any of them until they went up and suddenly they went every week. I bet they don’t go now.
