I know we shouldn't be looking down the table.

But a win on Monday already puts us 8 points clear of relegation, despite having a pretty crappy fixture list to begin the year.

I do wonder what we might see if we can get the relegation pressure off us early doors. If we can bed the new signings in, Taiwo continues as he is and we can add a bit of freedom/confidence there's no reason we can't be looking at the top half.

Don't know if mentioned yet but referee is Jones who reffed against utd and ultimately had a complaint put in against him by us (I think ?). Hard to work out logic behind putting him in charge of this one so soon.

I reckon having Jones as the ref might go well for us. After the controversy around his VAR decisions at United, he must be wary of giving any controversial decisions against us, because of how it would be perceived.

Of course he is from Merseyside, so might just be a massive pr1ck.

Forest are magic on and off the pitch!

My thoughts exactly. Many were concerned we’d be near the bottom after the fixtures came out or that at this point we’d have been thumped away from home three times with a very negative goal difference.

If we can get a good win and already put some distance between us and the bottom I hope some of the nerves might go which we see at times, a bit like when teams start to win after they’ve been mathematically relegated.

Sangare should start IMO. This isn't someone who we need to get up to full fitness first. He's had 7 full 90 mins competitive club footy already including 4 champions league matches. Just played(and scored) for Ivory Coast last week too.

He can hit the ground running and should slot straight in.
Cooper only met him on Friday and he hardly speaks English.

I don't think he starts. Of all the new guys I would say Dominguez is the most likely as he's had 2 weeks training.

That's a blow, although the prospect of Sangaré potentially stepping-in is a consolation.
Mad to think we’ve a 30m sort after player to sling in as a stop gap 🤣.

Remember Gary Holt 😬

The lads that played against Chelsea all stood tall and said this is my shirt
I'd play the same team barring injuries. Reward the lads and send a message to the incoming players. You have to wait and earn your place
