We needed to win this game.
We really did.
Brilliant that we didnt lose and held on but Brentford had some of their best players out and no Tony too.
If anyone thinks that we are going to get 3pts at Palace they need to rethink.
Our injuries are starting to mount up too.

We could be skirting with another relegation battle

I hate Brentford

I didn’t realise hasselbaink hated us so much.

Love Michael Dawson, a Forest player could clump someone with a cricket bat and Michael would say no foul and then signal four runs 😍

I don't think either goals were particularly bad goalkeeping personally. Turner's skids off the wet turf right in front of him, and Dominguez's header was beautifully placed.
Nah, their keeper's got to save that. The ball is never higher than the bar. It's right over his head.

No one should be surprised that Johnson is going to be tough to replace. Pace and instinctive opportunism is why he brought in 45 million quid.
I thought we controlled the game until the sending off, which is pretty much the only time we’ve done that since being back in the prem. not sure Brennan would have made too much difference today

Flekken has looked suspect all season. Were we linked with him for a while? Bullet dodged. I think he thought that was going over the bar.

First time Turner has looked shaky today.

I personally thought the yellow was harsh and that their goal was marginally off but I can see why both decisions went against us and in all honesty didn't think we'd get much out of the game so I'm happy with a point.

Brentford grew in strength with their numerical advantage but were kind enough to even up the numbers by bringing on Maupay who couldn't finish his dinner.

I'll be honest i think we actually got away with two penalties, the hand ball by Dominguez and Matt Turner following through on Wissa after he missed the ball. If that was against Forest i'd be fuming.

I thought we were pretty average in the first 10 minutes after half time.

But the Brennan thing is more to do with that lack of finishing threat in the first half. Hopefully CHO and Elanga learn how to slot in to the system and open things up with movement. Probably didn't help that MGW wasn't there to provide the through ball either.

We had zero shots, on or off target, until Dominguez scored.

Yes but that had evaporated by the time Niakhate was sent off. We then got the bit between our teeth a little, because we seem to need adversity to get the best out of ourselves.
There was some really positive play - but Cooper has work to do to create a flow. Felt like we didn't really know what to do with possession - need far more creative movement off the ball. There were moments (that Serge run behind that Sangare almost picked out was really nice). This is where MGW should help - but I would guess at the expense of Elanga (who is likely best for off the bench impact at this point). Need to get healthy because Danilo and Yates really would have helped today.

Kudos to Murillo, that was a very positive debut that he will learn a great deal from. Also kudos to Toffolo - really came in and put in a shift. Impressive.
