How do you explain the far higher points return upto the West Ham game. And generally not being an embarrassment away from home until last night?
Probably explained by a lower quality league as the league is noticeably weaker than last year.
If it wasn't so weak we would be at the bottom

Shirt swapping isn't an isolated incident. It was cold Wednesday night, right? I think we'd do well to not create issues with things that are commonplace.

If that ex bin-dipping twat wants a Forest shirt, tell him to get down the Forest shop and buy one.

Boils my piss, when players are swapping shirts just for the sake of it.

If a player has earned a shirt, then it should be dragged off his back.
Do the players get a new shirt for every appearance?
Or does Terry the Kitman's wife wash and iron after each match?
If it is the former, then the player might not enough wardrobe or drawer space for a whole season's worth of shirts.
If it the latter, Mangala is going to look odd at wolves, wearing that Fulham shirt.

At least the Forest players would pass to him.

Everything changes... I am beginning to feel lost in this world.
How does this profligacy with one-wear shirts fit with Forest's avowed "green" credentials?
I think most of the match-worn kits get kept by the players or signed and auctioned off for charities. I don't think they're going to the bin or the incinerator - at least not straight away.

I remember seeing a leaked wage slip years ago, can't remember which player now but in his deductions column next to tax and NI was shirts at £50 a pop. He must've been chucking them into the crowd each game and the club charged him for them.

I'm not sure what the relevance of it being a cold Wednesday night is, but I think that when your manager is reported to be under intense pressure to get a result and you've just lost 5-0 to a team just 2 points ahead of you in the table, it shows a distinct lack of awareness to the gravity of the situation. Fulham were literally taking the piss once they were 3-0 up - the cheers and jeers from the home fans compounded this - and I don't think it sends out a good message, especially to those fans who gave up their money and time for a midweek game that resulted in one of the worst performances of the past few years.

John Arne Riise?

Could've been. It was definitely a top club. What I liked as well was the fine in the deductions from the FA for a yellow card which I think was about £12 which was the same as a Sunday league player.

I remember seeing Carlos Tevez’s wage slip with the fines on, laughable how I’ve paid the same price fine as a multi millionaire footballer 🤣

Because being outside when you are shirtless, unless you are piss drunk, is decidedly uncomfortable. Anyhow, Mangala has been one of our few consistent players this season. There are others who have been less so (and, indeed, have engaged in, imho, more questionable behaviour) and some of the fanbase seem to routinely ignore their shit. Mangala is one guy we should leave alone. Imho.

I agree there are players who are more deserving of criticism, but I still think it was poor of Mangala.

Unless I'm mistaken (I don't do Instagram so could be way off) the silence from the players since this game is disappointing.

Don't get me wrong I'm not advocating the template responses that they seem to have like "we go again " but someone normally has something to say. Given how absolutely garbage they were and the cost it takes for our fans to get to and from London for a midweek game and the ticket prices alone, i would expect at least an apology - even if they do so with comments not allowed.

All I've heard is of Murillo liking Willian post, can anyone lighten my mood because frankly I'm conscious of being a doom poster. I'm full of cold, hugely miserable and could do with something to be positive about even if its a speck of hope!

Personally, as Senior Doom Monger, I think the silence of the players is a very positive sign.
The players know they failed the Man big-time.
I think any social media posts saying "sorry" would be seen as toally insulting to Club, Head coach, and Fans alike.
I take it as a positive sign that they will make their apology today by wiping the floor with Wolves, and giving one last fight for the Gipper.
Alternatively, they could be thinking, "Our work is done, it's a new day tomorrow!".

I'm a season ticket holder, go to every home game, I can tell you most teams who come to our place are a level above in terms of speed of execution. I genuinely dont see how you ask this team to hold on to the ball with any kind of aggressive line without being breached.

We beat Villa on the break, luckily Cooper was able to take advantage of Villas crazy high line.

Genuinely, the suggestion Coopers errors are holding back good players is laughable.
I agree with you, for the most part, and what you describe has been a concern for me ever since St James' Park last season, where we were playing at half the speed and a fraction of the control and accuracy of Newcastle. Most games I still have to count to make sure the opposition don't have 1 or 2 extra players on the pitch, such is our inability to move the ball - and our players - quickly and with conviction.

Watching Elanga run the ball into touch last night summed it all up for me really. We've got a squad of decent upper Champ/lower Prem level players, but for all the money Marinakis has spent, we're way, way off having a competitive mid to upper Prem squad.
This "we've spent 300m" line is hilariously ignorant to what we've spent it on and what we've let go too.

FAR too many "this player might be able to do a job" type punts again for my liking over recent windows, that and players who obviously have some quality but come with a negative trait too, such as an injury issue or coming from abroad so in need of time to settle in.

Yet again, little joined up thinking in the recruitment department. The only time we got this right (under Murphy), we got promoted. No coincidence.

So who would Murphy have bought then? A bunch of kids? Remember Cooper had to battle Murphy to be allowed to sign Steve Cook.

Murphy’s model would have had us top of the Championship this season, having gone down last season with barely a whimper.
