I want 3 points to bolster the mindset that dropping points is unacceptable. Standards to set and maintain. Definitely give Colback and Lingard a run out tho. Not sure I'd stretch that to Cook, love him but he's not prem any more.

Optimist hat on: Give a couple of kids some time on the pitch.
Realist: Win the game but avoid injuries. Nobody at risk of injury makes the matchday squad.

Cook won't be eligible to play. Would like Colback and Lingard to get minutes, even if only final 10-15.

A win would be a great way to finish, as want Cooper and Awoniyi to get manager/player of month for May.

First and only match this season without any pressure.

A true free hit. Steve show us how you would like Forest to play in an ideal scenario.

Don't think we should make wholesale changes. Treat this as our first match of our build-up to next season.

I do expect to play with a bit more freedom though, with nothing on the line I don't want to see 20% possession and a low block. This is the time to express ourselves a bit with no consequence. You never know, it might actually bring out a really good away performance.

As for team selection, there are a number of players I'd expect to not be here next season so I wouldn't play any of them, except Colback. The first choice players have earnt the right to have the freedom to knock it about a bit in the sunshine and I'm sure after the adrenaline of Saturday they'll be gagging to give our long-suffering away supporters something to shout about.

I wouldn't be against some younger academy lads on the bench but wouldn't be giving Ayew or Lingard a run out for example.

Navas

Aurier
Felipe
Niakhate
Lodi

Yates
Mangala
Danilo

Johnson
Awoniyi
Gibbs-White

Colback to come on for 15/20 mins at the end with the armband on.

Agree, don't see the point in giving Lingard a run. Would be a purely sentimental waste of an opportunity to see someone we might care about next year.

Agree with this. It doesn't matter to me if we win or lose but I think we should at least go for the win and play with freedom. What a nice feeling that will be!

Couldn't give a flipping flap what team we play to be honest! Although it would be nice to leapfrog Bournemouth should Everton beat them (which I think they will)

Think Danilo needs a rest though, his hamstring seems worryingly close to a proper tear.
Half the squad have been playing with injuries. I think he’ll change those that have and leave the rest.

Looks like Hennessy will be in the net as Navas is back in France currently - unless they’ve had a few days off.

So glad we got over the line last week as I won't be able to watch on Saturday - mightbe able to sneak a few glances at the forum!

Shame I didn't get to meet any of you guys (unless you happen to be the tall guy infront of me in the 400 club with a girlfriend with metal in her back, or the 3 guys from Jersey... or any of the other fantastic fans I did meet) hopefully next time :)

Apparently the players are off until Thursday, which just about works given we are playing Sunday. Would be great to win and finish above Bournemouth but can't say I am mega arsed.

Probably explains why Navas has gone to France then, if they've been allowed to have a break.

I think we see a strong team. I think SC will try to impose the philosophy he wants long term whilst there's no pressure on the players. Wouldn't be surprised to see a much more front foot style.

3-2 win (Taiwo, Yates, MGW)

Yatesey was saying in the talk sport interview that they’re focusing on finishing the season as high as possible so there’ll be no backing off.
I should imagine Coops and the rest of the management team were ready for a few days off (can’t imagine the level of stress they’ve been under) and at this stage the players’ fitness isn’t going to be affected by a short break.
