That's a good question about bands from Nottingham. Which band best represents Forest?
Not answering your question but remember our very own Paul McGregor was in a band or began a band after playing for us?
After putting us through to the quarters of the UEFA none the less lol

After Newcastle this must be a game we go into high on confidence and belief.
A win is a big ask but I’m asking for it as we deserve the points after Rashfords dive at OT which robbed us of at least a point.
Will we see the first appearance of our Irish CB for this one or is it a number too big for him.
Imagine he starts and plays a blinder meaning we then have 2 young and talented CB’s with speed and desire, shoring up the defense for the rest of the season helping us to safety then mid table mediocrity.
3-2 to the Forest warriors, time for the payback !

Cheers for this pal.
Yes, Radio Trent Sport. Chris Ashley was the anchor in the Castle Gate studios. They had Martin Johnson reporting live from the City Ground and Brian Tansley from Meadow Lane. Bizarrely they also had live reports from the Baseball Ground. Martin Johnson was an excellent if deadpan by today’s standards presenter.
Chis Ashley played the “shock jock” role famously hating Forest and calling Clough and Taylor Bill and Ben. He once lost an on air bet about a result and there is footage of him being tossed into the River Trent on YouTube.
Tony Delahunty eventually took over Trent Sport after Ashley left. Ashley can still be heard on a Spanish expat online radio station today.
Tony Delahunty gave a debut to a very young Darren Fletcher as a football reporter. They still broadcast reports on Derby and Fletch’s first match was Wolves v Derby.
Delahunty is still involved with the small commercial radio station in Mansfield.

Ten Years After must be the most famous, their set at Woodstock is shown every where.
I saw them when they were still called the Jaybirds a few times in 65/66, Alvin Lee, what a star.
Haha, that makes me sound old.

Saw Alvin Lee at Nottingham Uni when he was solo, great guitarist.

In both Bournemouth and Newcastle matches, at times it seemed too easy for opposition to get to edge of our box and only took 1-2 passes from their defence. Bit of work to do there and i’m sure Nuno is working on shape without the ball. Erikson and Bruno, although not in great form are so skilled in exploiting gaps in midfield-something we need to watch carefully.

Thanks for this, some great memories.

I once presented a Golden Oldies show on Radio Trent back in December 1980.
I remember chatting to the Saturday afternoon Sports presenter at that time called Lee Peck.
