I’m having absolutely no excuses around the size of the squad or any challenges around personal.

We’ve invested £300m in this squad and it’s better than last season. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be beating Bournemouth at home, just as we needed to be beating Luton, Burnley, Everton etc.

We need to win, and also show the reintegrating of this summers new players, whilst not alienating the core group who performed well in the last two games.
You just need to snap your fingers that little bit quicker and it will happen.

Shame about coops but we’ve gotta get on with it, always liked us with a back 3 so very happy with Nuno (watch him play a 4 tomorrow!).

Pretty excited to see what he can do with Murillo, he likes that ‘quarterback’ style CB which the young lad looks made for. He got Connor Coady into the England team playing that role.

Really hoping he can do something with Danilo, there’s a real player in there. Saw someone suggest playing him and MGW off a front man, think this could work well. He can drop into midfield when out of possession too.

One less gobshite...
I've never belived in the new manager bounce

But I've never wanted one more.

It's only Bournmouth, not Barcelona.

In the Shut up and show more football podcast, there is a good interview with him. He said he has a tool to analyse the past performances and can come up with solutions to fix the problems.

I am quietly optimistic that we will see better passing, more solidity at the back and a bit more control of a game sooner rather than later. All the players will be giving their 100% to impress and we should see an uptick in performances.

...No

Appreciate the effort! Nearly there.

Aguilera spent time on loan at estoril last season so could probs include him.

After that I think that's it but we can cheat and pretend to recall Scarpa.

Vlachodimos
Felipe Boly Murillo Tavares
Santos MGW Danilo
Aguilera Scarpa
Elanga

Not the worst side tbh.

I don't know how you drop Neco, he's a much better wing-back than Aurier
It's my guess of what Nuno will pick rather than what I want to see.

My prediction for the team tomorrow. I think Nuno will try to put his own stamp on the team by bringing in a few out of favour players.

GK: Turner
RWB: Montiel
CB: Worrall
CB: Murillo
CB: Boly
LWB: Nuno Tavares
CM: Mangala
CM: Andrey Santos
CF: Wood
LW: Elanga
RW: Gibbs-White

I expect he will have had a number of chats with the two Reid’s if they are still there about the out of favour players and a number of new faces will be in the squad today

When SC was still in charge I went for a draw for this game as the 3 below us have difficult games and we could have pulled a tad away from them by the end of the weekend. Now he is no longer in charge the result could be anything from a 3-0 win to a battering, a total unknown.
What I would like to see is a game where we actually keep the ball for a lot longer which is our main issue at the moment.
At first I wasn’t impressed with the change of manager but if it helps to improve the overall style of our play I will be happy, but don’t think we will see too much difference given the short time to implement any changes.
But as always I’m optimistic, so believe we can actually get something from this game to make the bottom 3 something in the distance of our rear view mirror
Here’s hoping !

If I were the person doing the music today I wouldn't play Depeche Mode when we win. Time to retire that song. Keep it as a happy memory of the Steve Cooper era.
Perhaps a different Depeche Mode track, more suited to the current situation?
Master and Servant, Everything Counts or Enjoy the Silence would all work.

My gran genuinely used to pronounce classic 80s frozen food shop cordon bleu as 'Gordon Blues'.
Still a running joke in my family, my grandma once sent my mum to Sherwood to pick some frozen bits up from this new shop called "Gordon Blows". She actually asked people on the street if they knew where Gordon Blows was as well 😂

Ive been randomly saying to my mum for 30 years now "Mum, you been to Gordon Blows lately?"
