Fester favourites again, unsurprisingly. They are just 5-1 with our erstwhile sponsor Victor Chandler.

Bookies fancy Wolves, Bolton, Brum, Leeds, Blackburn, Blackpool and Cardiff to be there or thereabouts too.

Despite all the gloom around here, Forest are a best-priced 28-1 (Coral) and lowest price 20s. Puts us around 14th with Ipswich, Hull and Burnley.

The sheep are a best-priced 50-1, lowest price 33s.

Barnsley, Posh, Bristol City and Palace to struggle.

Personally I cant see past Wolves for the title, unless Solbakken turns out to be McClaren Mk II. They don't have to sell unless they get a whopping great bid and even if they flog Fletcher AND Doyle, they will still have Ebanks-Blake, who has been top scorer in this division in his last 2 seasons here...
Hennessey, de Vries, Berra, Foley, Elokobi, Ward, Hunt, Doyle, Jarvis, Kightly, Ebanks-Blake, Henry, Stearman all won promotion from this league before, plus Fletcher, Guedioura, O'Hara etc.

Bolton to take 2nd spot for me.
Play-offs between Leeds, Blackpool, Birmingham and Fester. Cardiff, Boro and Wednesday to go close.

Relegation Id say Barnsley, Peterborough and Watford. Huddersfield, us, Blackburn and Palace to flirt with danger.

Blackburn to underachieve, Wednesday to be surprise package.

Early predictions?

Has he singed yet?
Why on earth are Leicester favourites?! And I agree on Wednesday being the surprise package, much like Brighton were.

I would pick Barnsley for the drop but they always seem to weasel out of it. Posh to go down, Wolves for auto. Picking the rest is difficult.

Ive just got a feeling Blackburn will implode. Those clowns in charge there havent a clue what they are doing and I think the financial effects of relegation after being a Prem club for 11 or 12 (?) years, will shock them to the core. I expect to see an exodus of their best players either this summer or in January. Hoilett's already out of contract and Yakubu has had a 1m releagtion clause activated.

FFS they haven't even decided if they want to keep Kean as manager yet. "We will decide next month" they said! Idiots. They make Marthur look dynamic and efficient.

Surprised they haven't got us lower. It is hard to know which teams will come down and do well or which will implode. I agree that Wolves would be my initial tip but there is a lot of time yet before start of the season. I would be interested in the relegation odds.

The Artiste formally known as "Wanksy"
Henry, Guedioura and O'Hara with Jarvis, Kightly and Ebanks-Blake up front. Not bad eh?

Not bad indeed! Although who says we won't sign Guedioura?............................:LOL::LOL::LOL:

I think Sheff Wed have done well and built a decent side, but I'm suprised how high some think that they will finish.

Be interesting to see how Bennett does.

I personally don't think any of the relegated sides will go back up. i think you've to to look at Cardiff, Brum and Blackpool again. Those 3 in any order for top 3 with Wolves and Bolton in or around the playoffs.

My top ten and bottom 3

Birmingham
Blackpool
----------------
Cardiff
Wolves
Leicester
Bolton
----------------
Sheffield Wednesday
Leeds
Blackburn
Crystal Palace

Bottom 3

Bristol City
Barnsley
Peterborough

Knowing our luck we'd end up with Garry 'the chancer' Cook in return. I wonder where he ended up. He's probably managed to blag his way into some ludicrously overpaid corporate job on the back of his cancer jibes.

No doubt somebody has pinched is iPad and is illicitly applying for jobs without Garry's knowledge left, right and centre as we speak.

Because we have some good players, so many things cannot all go so wrong again in one season and for the last few months of last season our form was pretty much playoffs. I can understand with the current uncertainty over owners that some people are worried, but assuming that gets sorted things look very different, and you can understand why the odds are as they are.

Mid-table mediocrity would do me just fine for once.

I dont think there is such a thing in the Championship. It's so competitive that mid table teams all either have a shot at the playoffs or possible relegation with about 7 games to go.

We still have a shit manager and have no owners. Our upsurge towards the end of the season was down largely to a winger who is no longer here, a highly talented all round midfielder we had on loan and the squad was boosted by other loan players. Defence wise we could possibly start next season without Gunter, Chambers, Lynch, Cunningham, Elekobi, Wooton and Higgingbottom all of which contributed to the defence improving towards the end of the season.

Lots of ifs. We don't know what will happen, but as I say, given the current situation they're understandable odds.

Charlton (25/1) are a bit of e/w value, as are Middlesbrough at the same price. Two for the perm. Wolves are probably just the generous side of 'about right' sitting at a best priced (9/1). Whoever priced Blackburn at 14s has a f**king great sense of humour.

Leicester are a false fav again this season, although they'll certainly finish higher than they did this year, if only because 3 better teams went up than came down.

Bolton will walk it. Great manager, good squad. I go for...
