Notts TV Teamtalk

Otis Redding

Try A Little Tenderness
It's often pretty forgettable, but I would highly recommend this week's edition with Nigel Clough as special guest. Nigel gives a very engaging insight into his playing career at the CG. He also pays tribute to one of my all-time top-10 favourite Forest players, Ian Bowyer.

It's available online for those unable to receive Notts TV.

Thanks for this Otis, we are unable to get Notts TV now Sky have removed it.

I've just watched the whole interview on line, great stuff regarding 'Bomber' etc.

I had a chuckle when Charlie McParland compared Derby County to Notts County.

And... Nigel answers the BIG question at the end.

This has answered my question.

Id have watched it if Mcparland wasn't in it.

Still worth watching Mase, a few behind the scenes stories etc.

I'll give it a go on your recommendation mate, but if McParlands starts with his xenophobic rantings again its going off. The smell of stale booze & Aramis coming through the TV screen doesnt help.

The story about Nigel being told to “kick the England captain even if you do nothing else” made me smile. So much for the nostalgia tinted myth that football was more saintly and Corinthian in those days.

 Pre-lockdown I'd always see Charlie in the bar before/after where they film this under normal circumstances. Bit of a character.

Not long before the mention of "foreign managers" coming in and devaluing cups. Charlie you are a tosser.

He really is isn't he? shame, there is real talent & knowledge there, but he's got the Billy Davies arrogance gene laced with a double dose of bitterness and prejudice.

boil that down and you get a nugget of pure dickhead.

I refuse to watch any Notts TV sports stuff because of their continual use of him. There's got to be better available.

Just finished it. Great watch and some stuff/stories that I've never heard before.

Nigel is a legend.
