Sammy's sendiung off was the first dismissal of a Forest player in the league since 1939 when George Pritty, along with Millwall's J. R. Smith were both sent off for fighting in a second division game which Forest won 8-0.

There were other Forest player sent off between those two though as Horace Gager was sent off in 1949 in a friendly against Osnabrück, Frank Wignall was sent off in the Fairs Cup against Eintrach Frankfurt in the Fairs Cup in 1967 and in 1969, Sammy was sent off in a League Cup match against Barrow.
I also seem to remember Sammy being sent off at Fulham in 1975-there seems to be a theme emerging 😁

Try A Little Tenderness
I remember a home game v Leeds where out of the corner of my eye I saw something happening off the ball - when I looked, Bremner was on the ground and Barnwell was walking away as if butter wouldn't melt.

A few minutes later Bremner kicked Grummitt in the head and was sent off. I didn't see the aftermath reported in one of the papers, where the reporter felt some action should have been taken against Forest players who surrounded Bremner as he lay on the ground and kicked him.

I don't see a problem.
I was in the Trent End when that occured. Bremner's challenge on Grummitt when he'd saved at his feet was pretty shocking. The angry response from the Forest players (particularly Terry Hennessey) was understandable but I don't recall Bremner being kicked.

You might be right, there!

Forest should - as I have repeatedly said - make more of the memory of players like him and S. W. Widdowson.

I concur. Harlequins RFC produced the following comparison image as part of their 150th anniversary and as a mark of respect to previous generations that had worn the famous quartered colours. Promoted under the title 'What's in a Shirt?', the original is Harlequins First XV from 1896-97. Not sure that the false moustaches were needed in the modern equivalent, but you get the idea.

I thought Origi looked a bit heavy on the pitch the other day, can't remember if it was v Burnley or City.

Some Forest fans have a bizarre take on football... some people on X saying Horvath shouldn't be in the photo for the same reason Arter isn't.

But actually Arter doesn't train with the squad and wouldn't be picked for the FA Cup, for example.

Horvath does have a chance, even if very remote, of playing in the FA Cup.

He is part of the full squad if not part of the EPL 25.

The photo is of the full squad.

People trying to paint Horvath in the same category as Arter is really annoying me at this point, because it feels like intentional stupidity.

It's obviously not the same thing, it's not even close. One is a bloke that has effectively retired from football and is sitting on his (undeservedly extended) contract, the other clearly does want to play as many minutes as possible and has been prevented from moving on to do that by the club.

The only reason that Horvath didn't move in August is because the club wouldn't sanction a move until after the new keepers had arrived, by which time the suitable options had gone - to try and paint him as a parasite is miles off. The club felt it necessary to keep him around right up until the transfer window closed - hence he was literally on the bench for us, in the Premier League, 3 games ago.

Nottingham's dirty secret
That's actually crazy. Is this why he was on that article about the worst PL transfers? I get that it could be the material and angle but he's looking pretty chunky in the face too!
You being serious?

It's the wind blowing his top & his face is normal.

The bottom pic posted of his face has been photoshopped.
