Nottingham Forest School Report Cards - Academic Year 2022-23

As we come to the end of another Term - I thought I'd share a selection of the Pupils report cards.

Brennan Johnson: Brennan continues to be a delightful pupil who all the teachers and his fellow pupils love working with. He was a little bit quiet at the start of the year, but as soon as he got to know all the new arrivals, really came out of his shell and continues to excel at all subjects. We do need to talk to you about his new haircut though. Grade: A+

Joe Worrall: There’s no doubt that this has been a challenging year for our new Head Boy and Headmaster Cooper was certainly wondering if he had done the right thing in appointing him to that role. It has taken him a while to turn his performances around, but all the staff were delighted to see him ending the year in a much stronger fashion and meeting our expectations for him. Grade C+

Ryan Yates: Ryan has astounded the staff this year by returning to the classroom so quickly after his heart transplant and quickly catching up with his classmates and returning excellent exam results. Grade: A

Morgan Gibbs-White: It can be challenging for pupils who have transferred in to settle in sometimes, but this has not been the case for Morgan. He has become a shining example of what Headmaster Cooper expects from all his pupils. Grade: A+

Renan Lodi: Moving to a new country is always a challenge, but young Renan did well once he got past his initial settling in period. Grade: A

Felipe: Although he arrived almost halfway through the school year, Felipe has quickly built a rapport with his fellow students, particularly the girls. This doesn’t hamper his excellent performances in the classroom though, and he has achieved excellent pass marks. Grade: A

Jonjo Shelvey: Unfortunately, upon his arrival Jonjo proved to be a negative and disruptive influence in the school. He consistently fails to apply himself in the correct way and we have even received reports of him acting in a violent manner. If he doesn’t react to his exclusion in the correct manner, I believe he is on the path to being expelled. Grade: F-

Chris Wood: Chris has failed to live up to expectations. Struggled in all subjects and been absent for a lengthy period. Must try harder. Grade: F.

Gustavo Scarpa: Gus hasn’t quite managed to live up to his potential this year, which I believe is down to him being far more interested in his non-curricular activites. His passion for skateboarding, solving rubix cubes and investing in something he calls ‘crypto’ all seem to be distracting from his academic pursuits. His attendance record is also of concern. Grade: D

Serge Aurier: Serge arrived at the school with a very bad reputation. We had concerns about taking him in, but he has proven over the school year to be a joy for both the staff and students to work with. Grade: A

Neco Williams: Neco has struggled with some of his work this year but has maintained a positive mindset throughout and was showing signs of making breakthroughs in several of his subjects, until his lengthy absence at the end of the year. Must continue to try his best to improve. Grade: C

Omar Richards: Mr and Mrs Richards, it appears that your boy has missed the entire school year. We really need to speak to you on this matter. UNGRADED.

MASE

Up-Front
Emmanuel Dennis: Despite repeated attempts to get Emmanuel to follow the school syllabus, he tends to plough his own path, which more often than not proved to be the wrong one. Id also like to bring your attention to the school uniform policy, his tendency to dress in His own "unique" is totally at odds with school policy.

We can't do anything else for him sadly, so he's expelled.

Re Chris Wood: "Chris seemed to resent the decision to move him from the exclusive north-east school, had trouble settling in. We tried to get him to smile, but he resolutely maintained a face like a slapped arse (apologies for the strong language, but at this school we pride ourselves in calling a spade a spade). Chris did have one moment when he showed the potential he undoubtedly has, and at that moment he actually looked happy and enjoyed the adulation from his class mates. Sadly, prolonged absence following Matron spoting a nasty looking lump mon chris's thigh nipped that one bright moment in the bud. We look forward to next term, when he will hopefully have fully recovered and had more time to adjust to life among the less well off pupils he is now mixing with. Of course, he may feel it would be best for him to move to a new school before term starts. C-

Moussa Niakhate: Moussa has shown immense fortitude in recovering from his missing of the all important early part of the school year, through no fault of his own. Matron has already apologised separately to you for not ensuring Moussa took those early days here a bit more gently. However, the work Matron has done with him has prepared him much better for such a demanding curriculum that he wasn't used to at his last school, where he got used to strolling around, and not making full use of his talents. Made a significant contribution to the end of term school play, throwing himself heartily into things, and not just from the sidelines. B+

Lingard J: an enthusiastic member of the school, who has made a great contribution to the sense of camerarderie that we strive to establish here. While we are saddened that he will be moving to a new school for the new school year, he goes with our best wishes and a few words of advice: do not rely on being popular at the expense of achieving in the classroom. You are old enough now to know that silly dancing to entertain one's peer group doesn't help you achieve the results we feel you could be capable of. C+

This end of term sees the School award lots of prizes.
Congo is first in the queue for the "Nicest boy in the School Award". He is able to see the good in virtually everyone, and able to give positive constructive criticism when called upon. :giggle:

Strummer

Socialismo O Muerte!
LTLF Minion
Orel Mangala: the young Belgian transferred from a failing school in Germany, and there was some reluctance from Headmaster Cooper to trust him, certainly earlier this term. However, as the year has gone on, he has matured, becoming an enthusiastic part of the school First XI, embracing the local area, and forming a powerful dancing partnership with S. Aurier. Bright things are expected of him, next term. Grade A-

Up-Front
Remo Freuler: Given he came with glowing reports from his previous school, Remo's year has been something of an anti climax. Remo tends to position himself in the middle of the class, wont engage with anyone and says nothing. That said, he's very little trouble, you hardly know he's there.
