Nicklas Bendtner: The Dark Lord has left the building

eh shag

Youth Team
I won't reveal my sources but he has held talks today with nffc and been given the guided tour of the ground and facilities. Some may think he's a bad apple but I think he could be a very effective player in the championship capable of scoring plenty of goals and acting as a foil for Britt if the desire is still there.

He'd be the best striker in the league.

Re: Nicklas Bendtner

Would be interesting, but fear his time maybe passed when we failed to bring in Maradona as head coach. Could have seen them striking a good understanding in a ludicrous pub suggestion Forest side.

No brainer for me, assuming his wage demands are realistic, he could do some damage at Championship level.

Hope this comes off.

Yeah I saw somebody mention they saw him in Harts restaurant in the city centre.

Would be a great signing if it comes off

As long as he doesn't expect stupid money, gets his head down and stops acting like a meme I'm all for it, there's a good striker underneath all the shite.

FFS, man bun ahoy. This stinks of Fawaz trying to buy popularity with our supporters and seems totally at odds with all our business so far this season.

He even has the Fawaz issue big contract hat on

Re: Nicklas Bendtner

Personally think Bendtner has always had a harsh deal. Something I always admired about him was that he would get himself in the right place again and again. Has good technique too.

It's all about his motivation. If he's eager to come here and get his career started again, he could be a fantastic signing. I'm feeling positive about this one personally.

Re: Nicklas Bendtner

Maybe he can do an "Andy Reid" no, not get broken! But Andy learned from his earlier youngster mishaps and became a better player towards the end of his time with us after his growing up years, a wiser head might be to our advantage??

Re: Nicklas Bendtner

Given that we have to resort to free agents if we want a striker, I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

Hopefully if he comes we won't be paying him stupid wages.

A short term deal until January would be best for both parties; gives us an additional striker until the transfer window opens again and would give Bendtner the chance to put himself in the shop window.

Re: Nicklas Bendtner

I just put the old research hat on and according to Soccerbase he scored 9 goals in 11 starts (+36 substitute appearances) for Wolfsburg, which is relatively good. You have to wonder why they terminated him though

This is the strongest indication yet:

Never say never... After 3 weeks of hard negotiations, there's a very strong possibility for Nicklas Bendtner to be the last #nffc signing.
