New Striker

With Cole gone we must surely be looking to bring in a new striker, has anyone heard any one being linked to us as a loan or to sign in January? I saw that Harewood was not even in the Villa squad last night but I think we need to be more realistic than thinking he would come back to Forest rather than moving to Stoke, Hull etc.

I was having a pint in Fellows with DanR and Alex after the unveiling, we spotted Harewood wasn't in the Villa squad on Sky Sports News, and said "I wonder how long before we get linked with him on the forum?"

It took longer than I thought, but still within 24 hours :D

I'm not sure bringing in a striker is exactly a like for like trade, with Cole heading out.

I have a chair that I will charge £10k a week for Forest to use. That's closer to a replacement.

His partner/wife has just had a baby.

Will this chair be making a valued contribution on the training ground?

It will enable injured players to sit down, so probably a higher contribution than Cole made.

Chair In.

I'm in, as long as the chair is a good influence on the other chairs on the club's staff.

Well, it has wheels, which gives it a bit of a feeling of supremacy.

Unfortunately, those wheels were only effective in the 90s, and have now seized to be able to turn.

Malcom Christie played in the Leeds friendly against us....also saw the magical Dan the Man had tipped Marcus Bent to arrive?

Alternatively, I do not use my wheelchair much these days so am happy to loan it out, much more mobile than Cole.

We'll have Emile Sinclair back soon, from his loan at Mansfield.

It will be just like a new signing etc...

How about Sir Brian Clough ... OK he may have passed on to the great football league in the sky but he had a fantastic strike ratio in the past and his statue is about as mobile as Cole

Will Hoskins.

He's been excellent for Watford this season.

It's a shame he got that back injury last season, he's have been a good, long term signing.

I know, if we'd get Hoskins, we could have used the Earnshaw money for a couple of quality midfielder/defenders. Ben Watson perhaps!

I wouldn't swap Earnshaw for Hoskins and any amount of money. Even if Hoskins is scoring for Watford now, he's not in Earnie's class. The reality is Hoskins has played most of this season and has been able to count on better support. Once Earnie is match fit, he'll fire the goals.

Also, the money was there for Watson. We had a bid accepted, but he wanted hilarious wages.
