He deserves a lot of credit considering he had to deal with the bereavement of a close family member, and from what I could see, Neco looked as good as anyone else on the pitch in the 2nd-half when Wales' change of tactics allowed him to display his attacking instincts far more.

Isn‘t it absolutely f***ing brilliant that folk are talking about Forest players at a World Cup again?

Personally I kind of think that if you're not in the right frame of mind you shouldn't be playing - but then the two obvious issues with that are clearly that Wales have other players who can play in Neco's position and if he chooses not to play he could lose his place for the next two matches and probably then the opportunity to play in the WC at all, the second is that sometimes just playing can take your mind off the other issues as it means you're focussing on playing not the bereavement.

Hopefully if it was expected they got time to plan and Neco got time to see his grandfather before he went off to the WC.

As a total aside, the grammar in that post is awful even for a footballer posting on SM...

My Dad died when I was 15. I was told at 3pm and had a game for forest that evening which I went and played in. It was my way of coping with it. For me those 90 mins while I was playing were my way of escaping reality.
