I'm quite happy with that. It makes us the more appealing option against that basketcase club who've lost out to us with every other signing

Onana decided to go Everton over both us and West Ham. Though given the fee I am not sure if that was the real challenge for us

Yeah, we never looked like meeting the fee so we was never in that race really. Bizarre that he chose Everton over West Ham though, what a dreadful decision that might turn out to be!

Strange one that because I'm pretty sure The Athletic were reporting it was done?
If it's between us, Fulham and Everton then I think he goes to Everton.

If he comes here, then he'd have to fight for his place and there is still a chance we get relegated.
If he goes to Fulham, he's still going to have to fight Mitrovic for that starting spot and there is more chance of them getting relegated than us.
If he goes to Everton, they're pretty f***ing desperate for attackers right now and Calvert-Lewin cannot stay fit. I think they pay him a lot more as well. There is a chance they could get relegated still, but not as much as either of us.

That said, I'm genuinely not arsed. I would rather we got Aouar and looked at bringing Jimmy back. Surridge can be 4th choice striker and stay with the club.

Personally think he'd be a good signing but he's not going to want to be on the bench so if Everton come calling with the injuries they have they may be more attractive.

If he has any sense he'll join us, a progressive club with an ambitious owner and a real up and coming manager, who are not aiming to just make up the numbers.

Everton on the other hand are a club going nowhere fast, who avoided relegating by the skin of their teeth last time around, have Lamps in charge.

It will come down to a combination of money and length of contract.
Maupay wont even consider which option will serve his career and personal life best.
