This is the third bid that was rejected 3 days ago - just more details coming out I assume.

We need to pay closer to their asking price upfront which we knew anyway so nothing has changed since Friday, technically.
Have they said this is the third bid on Sky Sports? The third bid was originally reported at £25m + £10m add ons. Assumed this was a new bid.

Just move on, the fee is ridiculous.

I think that they want more upfront, they seem to have bought Guedes in advance but are apparently letting Coady go on a shifty deal to Everton where its a loan to buy deal.

I'm not sure how this ends up but seems a bit of a crappy transfer day all around.

It’s not crazy money if the £17m add-one we’re:

£1m if we avoid relegation
£16m if MGW wins the World Cup, scoring a hat-trick in the final, and finishing the tournament top scorer also with the most penalty saves.

More up front will do it I would imagine.

While I believe this is over what we should pay and that there is better value elsewhere, when it's compared to sterling, haaland and mane, etc., it really isn't comparing apples to apples. Sterling was on a huge whack at city and there is considerable value in getting those wages off the books. This along with the value added to the total transfer value due to the new club paying the wages is never really considered.

Lots of other clauses and nuance in these deals but the biggest one is that the player has to want to come to forest. If a player is worth tens of millions, for the most part they're likely already at a top club, whichever division they're in. There is a big risk moving to a newly promoted club in terms of reputation and future value etc.

Why are Wolves being such stubborn buggers?

From all we are hearing, Morgan really wants to be back with Cooper.

Would you take £42m or have an unhappy and demotivated player on your books for the season who will then have a year left on his contract?

At this point I'd rather go for Ismaila Sarr from Watford in all honesty. Full international for Senegal. Cost them £30m. Offer the same deal we have to Wolves and let's get out of this saga.

Why wouldn’t they be ’stubborn buggers’?
They can see how keen ( desperate? ) we are to get him - why wouldn’t they try to squeeze every last penny out of us.
