If Coops wants this lad, and can fit him into the team, then why not?

It is whether the player actually wants to come, of course, that is the question.

Realistically though, where does the fella play if he comes?
For £30m or whatever, he's not coming here to be a squad player.

You can't put him in a forward spot because you'd need to take one of Surridge/Johnson/Awoniyi out the equation.
You can't play him over Lingard in that behind the striker role.
You've then got Yates, Mangala and O'Brien as ball carriers in central midfield.

For me, we went for Lingard because getting MGW would cost too much, at least right now.
We'd find a slot for him, don't worry about that - I fear you might be right on the Lingard thing though; if things are working out for him at Wolves then he's probably staying put.

Time will tell... suspect Cooper's relationship with the player means he knows the crack already, and we will bid (or not) accordingly.

People get injured and we may need to up our game at the 60 minute mark. Can't believe this is up for discussion on signing MGW.

He seems to be very versatile and could be an alternative to any of the more attacking players at different times. We’ll need to rotate all of these players so I think he’d be ideal

CM due to the fact he's better than the other 3.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've got a sneaky feeling we're gonna sign MGW.

Best breeds of dog?

I'd say that German Shepherds, Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Border Collies have got to be up there.

Worst? Chihuahuas, or any of those with squashed faces. Not sure how anyone can justify raising a pug in this day and age.

I love a pit bull, i know the history surrounding them but if you have a nice pitbull, they’re one of the greatest pups you’ll ever meet.

I also do love black labs, funny ass dogs.

Also worst case scenario you can piss in a side street and get scowled at, shit in the same place and you could find yourself having a police arranged mental health assessment if caught
Went out for a drink whilst jumping at Netheravon in the 60s. Needed a pee after the local pub had shut, went down an alleyway which the plod were observing, unbeknown to us, after complaints from locals.

Went off to the Magistrates court and was fined £1! Annoyed as I hadn't even had time to actually have the piss I was paying for!

The best bit was one of our number was a Red Cap and he was defended by a barrister I knew, who told me in no uncertain terms not to say anything because if I did I was certain to muck up his case, which he still lost!

If the rumours this morning are to be believed then Palace have moved on to Ruben Loftus-Cheek as an alternative to MGW, so I suppose that'd leave staying at Wolves or signing for us as his options.

My gut feeling is that he'll stay at Wolves. They don't come across as being particularly willing sellers. Think it would take a big bid to change their minds.

They do need a striker though and it looks as though they need to sell to bring anyone in. Suppose it depends on whether they think he'll bring more attacking returns than whoever they could sign in the market with £20m+. Then obviously there's whether he's willing to sign a new deal, he's got all the power from that pov. It'll probably run on right towards the end of the window now.

Newcastle chasing £50m Maddison leaves Leicester with a big hole to fill and the money to fill it. Fancy they will come in for MGW if Maddison makes the switch to tha Toon?…

Think Forest will ultimately get priced out of this one unless we move quickly

This deal was dead a long time ago. Not a chance he'll be at Forest next season. Move on

Yep, we'd have signed him a month ago if we were willing to pay what Wolves want for him.

Yep.

Lingard was the pivot. We moved quickly to get him once we realised we were getting priced out of MGW>

Yeah I don't see it happening either, with links to other players recently (i.e. Bowler) and the signing of Lingard (as Maxi just mentioned) I think its clear that the club have moved on to be honest.

We also hopefully will be staying in the PL, next summer MGW will have a better idea of how Wolves view him and with I think just a year left on his contract prices will potentially drop.

We need another #10 as well as Lingard regardless of whether it's MGW or not.

Past him we have nobody that can play in that position. Unless Corberan doesn't like Zinc.

Lingard has taken away the immediate pressure to bring somebody in, but we still need somebody.
