Classic drumming up an auction talk. But if these someone prepared to pay 25M+ we need to walk away, its just too much for us at the moment unless we are talking a seasoned, proven striker (a "real" 9, not a bloody "false" one) with a bomb proof goal scoring record

We've just been promoted and basically have a 5 a side team of completely untested players. I don't think it takes Poirot to work out that we have a few quid to spend.

Wolves will quite possibly have little choice if the player demands guarantees of regular first-team involvement, something they'll probably be reluctant to provide.

It would be less of a problem at other PL clubs, particularly newly-promoted ones. In which case, I expect it will be a case of Wolves looking for the highest fee possible.
