He's the type of player relegation threatened Prem teams need... Can score out of absolutely nothing. Still think he should be played as a striker.

having 2 of the best strikers in the league, it's little wonder if watford don't fancy seeing the ball walloped into the stand 5 times a game instead of trying to play them in

I shall always have a soft-spot for Lewis after dancing on the pitch with him after "that" game in May 2008.

But we've moved on, as I suspect, has he.

Can't argue with his scoring record at this level. And it's that that will keep getting him contracts, even if it's all he's really got.

A Hollywood player, don't miss him does anyone?

I do, I really liked him. 11 goals last season for Watford. Whilst we ended the season with Greening and Jara in central midfield. Now we have better but last season we could have really used him.

He was a brilliant player for us, an absolute pleasure to watch. And *that* free-kick he scored was immense.

Unfortunately, far too many fans dismissed him as 'fat' and 'lazy', of which he was neither.

He also seemingly won us quite a few games on his own in the League One promotion season under Colin Calderwood.

Waste of a jersey. You win nothing with players like this. The goals, incredible. The work ethic, the intelligence (both on and off the pitch), the strong midfield presence? Nope.

He's a one trick pony. If he was half as good as some say in here he'd have been in the Prem ages ago. He isn't. There are good reasons for that.

What makes me laugh is that he is linked with a prem move year upon year yet theres a lot of fans who still think he's too good for us. Id sign him in a heart beat. Good player. A troubled genius always steals my heart.

We've moved on so much from this guy and I'm so bloody glad we have. Good player, SHOCKING application. Saw him walk through games, he won't play a game of Premier League football in his career.

http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...r_and_McGugan_s_absence_according_to_Sannino/ - Left out due to rotational reasons for Watford earlier, with rumours that senior players have fallen out with the manager. McGugan annoying another manager, what a surprise.

No facts, as per, and you believe what you read in an online report. Continue ... and no fucjing g wot karate. Simples!:facepalm:

Think a quick browsing over Watford fan discussions roughly confirm it. Lewis McGugan is too good to be dropped when he's not even injured for 2 straight games isn't he?

Surely going by your book, completely ridding him from their 18 man squad is impossible for a man of such quality. It's obvious, when you put 2+2 together, McGugan has been left out due to a falling out. Little bit of research will tell you that.

Couldn't agree more! Sometimes you'd prefer half the talent and double the commitment and determination!
